Good point - I assumed that as they'd taken out the £1, the DD would be set up, but just checked my banking and it isn't! Oh well.

I can't remember if it was direct debit. I think they just asked for card details e.g. continuous card authorisation.

I spoke to Live chat today to ask why I hadn't received my voucher and they reckon I didn't go through the "correct link"

I cancelled yesterday via live chat but not sure if we are meant to get email confirmation that it has been cancelled or not.

Still not received both the £10 or the £5 vouchers but I did get email confirmation that I would get the £10 voucher when I signed up.

I too think it's all a con e.g they will only send vouchers out to those who don't cancel in the trial period.

It's hard to know right now.It said they would be sent within 28 days.28 days isn't up yet,never mind 28 days + royal mail delivery time

I signed up at about 8pm on the 25th but didn't receive an email confirmation about the voucher so I presume I won't be getting one. I cancelled yesterday through Live chat and it was really easy.

I think its a con, the sun have made a easy 30k off new signees, there outlay is minimal since everybody logs on to the same server.

I cancelled on Tuesday, with minimal fuss.

I don't think its a con. When I cancelled through live chat I was offered another £10 voucher if I stayed another month. Before declining I asked if this was as well as the one I am getting for the first month? I was assured I would receive 2 if I stayed another month. I have screenshots of this conversation in case there are problems.

Yea I was offered the same deal upon cancellation - standard offer to hold on to subscriber.

I think it's a bit dubious that only some people got confirmation email about voucher upon signing up, and some people didn't as they 'didn't go through the correct link' or some other excuse. I guess we'll know if it's a con or not pretty soon when the vouchers arrive (or not).
