    Haven't received voucher yet, but contacted via live chat to cancel my membership..

    Me: hi I would like to cancel my membership
    Sun live chat: We’re sorry to hear that you want to cancel your Sun+ account. Can I persuade you to change your mind by offering you a £10 Morrisons voucher?
    Sun live chat: In order to qualify for this voucher all you need to do is remain a Sun+ member for one further month after the current month finishes.
    Sun live chat: Does this interest you at all?
    Me: no thanks, and it doesn't state that you need to be a member for 2 months.
    Sun live chat: Okay what's the e-mail address, address and dob?
    Me: *******@*******.co.uk, *********, dd/mm/yyyy
    Sun live chat: Okay bear with me.
    Sun live chat: Cancellation requested, how can I help?

    Yea that's pretty much how my cancellation went - including the offer of another voucher.

    I haven't received an email confirming my account has been cancelled so I'm gonna get on to them again just to clarify.

    I don't think anyone has received the voucher yet but there's still 2 weeks left before the 28 days is up for the people that signed up first (including myself) so still early days yet.

    Also, you don't need to wait long to cancel; you can cancel on the 8th day and still get the voucher (and still get the benefits of sun+ including perks for the rest of the month). Some of the representatives have lied a bit on live chat from reading on here, hukd and personal experience and said to get the voucher you need to keep the subscription live until the point you receive it. When I told the person I spoke to that this wasn't mentioned in the voucher confirmation email nor in the terms, the lady spoke to her manager and then apologised and said she got it wrong. I think it's a bit of scaremongering and they're probably hoping that the majority of people won't question it and keep the subscription until they receive the voucher (which could be too late to cancel for the second month by then as their FAQ's state you need to cancel at least 5 days before your next billing date to not get charged). If that is the way they're playing it then I'm assuming they won't start dispatching the first lot of vouchers until the 18th. This is pure speculation of course.

    Don't forget to cancel by next Weds 20th guys so that you don't get charge over £8 for another month.

    I spoke to someone on the live chat a couple of days ago and she confirmed that I would be able to cancel my account at any point now without losing any of the perks I have already applied for. So this should be the same for everyone.
    2014 wins: £15 iTunes voucher, £15 Amazon voucher, Sharwood's wok & sauces, Food Lover's Guide to the World book, £20 Tesco giftcard, Goodfellas x 3, Garnier skin cream, £25 Frankie & Benny's, Chiquito meal, £20 Frankie & Benny's, Panebello pizza, Harlan Coben book

    Just done my cancellation, they did not offer me a voucher but cancelling was easy on live chat, he said I will get a confirmation email after my months subscription ends on the 25th.

    Cancelled mine today too, hopefully the vouchers and lip glosses should arrive soon. Is everyone cancelling the direct debits online too?

    I can't cancel direct debits via my online banking until after the first payment has been took.
