We're in luck NCM! I found 5p yesterday...so we have a whole 6p between us
*feeling rich*
I'm not too bothered about my blowout to be honest, I'm just more annoyed because I overspent from the £230 I got back from closing the ISA
I used what is left to pay to the credit card last night though before I went crazy and spent again!
£181.79 to the cc - New total £1313.35
It's really nice because I can feel the end in sight and after Friday, It will be under 1k!! I can't wait!! :jSaved so far - £28,890.97

Wooo well done on this! Do you have an idea of your debt free date? :j0 -
Thanks Lina! My debt free date is March 7th - 28 days to gooooo!! :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
Today is payday again - This one came around quite quickly despite being completely broke for this whole week!! :rotfl:
£321.72 Payment made to the CC today, £503.51 paid in Feb so far and £991.63 left to go!!!!
My Feb 21st pay will be nice because all I have to pay is into my nieces savings and personal spends so I'm aiming for £1180 paid off this month, then the last payment on March 7th!
Yesterday my best friend put £200 into my account, which she will do every month until we have saved enough for our tickets to Cuba - I find it quite amusing that anyone trusts me enough to do that these days!! :rotfl:
The woman I work with is nearly twice my age but just as hopeless with money as I am/was and she said from next month, she wants to start giving me £450 a month so that I can save it for her as she wants to go to south Africa in November...we'll see if she actually does though since a few days before payday she is always asking me to borrow £10 or £20, I have no idea where she will get £450 to save every month.....
Enforced NSD's - 4 for feb so far!
This will be a spendy weekend though as I'm going to my sisters tonight after work, I can't wait to see my her and my lil niece!!!!Saved so far - £28,890.97

Oh! I also didn't realize that I had an offer on my bank account for new look and the things I ordered last week - It's showing that I will get £6.50 cash back at the end of this month! (or next month?) :TSaved so far - £28,890.97

Dont do the saving thing for other people, It will only get complicated when they "need" some money back out & you have the hassles involved. Instead why not encourage her to put it in a 30 day notice savings fund in her own name ?Its just a bad day, Not a bad life .. :cool:0

It's pretty simple mara - once they give it to me, they won't get it back until they 'need' it for whatever the intended purpose was
I made that clear to my best friend, no matter how much she 'wants' it
She's been my best friend since we could both barely talk/walk though so I don't really care if she gets annoyed with me, It's for her own good!
As for the woman I work with, well I told her the same thing - but if she REALLY insists that she needs it back, I will give it back to her, It's not that much of a hassle for me to find a cash point and she will only be harming herself and her own holiday ^_^Saved so far - £28,890.97

In one hand - Out the next!!
Made a PAD of £3.86 to the CC after spending £16.14 on my cash card for treats/a toy and a hair brush for my pup but I'm so annoyed after being hit with a £23 card care charge taking my total back up to £1010.77
Had a lovely weekend with sis and beautiful baby niece though! Can't believe how much bigger she gets every time I see her!
Met up with the other friend friend that moved in Jan while I was down there and we went to chiquitos - spent £36.42, then £10 on dominoes pizza with my sis in the evening for dinner - total spends for the weekend - £62.56
Now I'm left with £77.44 to last until the 21st Feb, which is fine because I have no more planned days out until the 26th and should be able to manage!
Have decided that it's time to get back on the horse with my diet!! I weighed myself while I was at my sisters and I weigh 16st4Ibs!!!
After managing to stay smoke free for 41 days now and feeling so much better and healthier (:rotfl:) - It's about time I tackle the flab I think!!!
My cousin is getting married on the 12th July and I'm aiming to be 4 stone lighter by then and lose a further 3 stone by the time we go to Cuba in October!
7 Stone in 8 months...can I do it in time?!
I don't really know how to diet properly tbh. I'm pretty all or nothing - eat everything in sight or starve myself on a crash diet...I really want to do it sensibly this time though!
After the tube strike last week, I was walking from Euston to Regent street (about 20 minutes) to get to work because the buses were so crowded and some weren't even stopping, I actually really enjoyed the walk - so I did it again this morning! If I can do it to work and back, that's 40 minutes a day and I will start doing my 30 day shred DVD again...not sure when I'll start that yet though!
Have had porridge with water for breakfast (luckily I love this and don't need to add anything to sweeten) a ham salad sandwich on soya and linseed bread with a low fat strawberry yogurt for lunch and drinking peppermint tea and diet coke! (I know this isn't healthy)
I will walk back to Euston after work and go to the supermarket to buy some fruit to snack on during the day to stop myself from binge eating!
Not at work tomorrow as I have my appointment at the hospital for the x-ray/blood tests and I've been scaring myself on Dr Google all day about what this could beSaved so far - £28,890.97

Keep it up, you're doing well
You had around £3150 debt at the start of December, now here we are two months later and you're at around £1000. If you keep it up you'll be debt-free sooner than you know it, and well on track to having at least £6000 in savings by the end of the year0 -
Thanks BSMS! I did take your advice from a few pages back and changed my contract over to giffgaff and reduced the amount I was putting into an ISA and upped my cc payments! I will be debt free on March 7th no matter what it takes to do that and I can't wait!!Saved so far - £28,890.97

Brilliant. Even by my best estimates I pegged it to 5 months minimum, which would put your debt free day as some time at the start of May. Looking forward to you smashing that deadline and then getting on the savings wagon.0
