Originally I had my DFD at August 2014
When I joined up to this forum I was only paying £400 a month and not really making any over payments...now nearly every penny I have goes on debts and each month how much I've been paying off seems to have risen, Last month especially since I haven't smoked since NYE and this month I'm aiming to pay off £1180 - I've become so obsessed with this money saving thing! I don't think I'll ever be super frugal - but compared to how I was, I think I've come a LONG way since I started this diary!Saved so far - £28,890.97

Way to go girl! You really are on form!
I am really pleased to read that you are one payday away from being debt free. More importantly, I am really pleased to read that you have been smoke free for 41 days - that is some achievement. The benefits (financial and non-financial) are immeasurable!
If you stick to your current rate of debt busting / savings, you won't just smash the £6k target, you will probably smash £10k.
Good luck and keep it going.

Fantastic Domayne :T you've done a great job getting those debts down! I look forward to seeing your debt free post! Then you can join me on the savings front (which is just as much hard work, but far more satisfying

Thank you NCM and DFW
NCM - I think I could probably save more than 10k from DFD to December but I'm accounting for things like my holiday to Cuba, will need a lot of new clothes when I travel as well, My cousins wedding in July, My friend wants to go to Amsterdam for a long weekend at some point in the next few months and I need to go to the dentist too and I'll probably need quite a few things done and redone + clean etc...so 6k is what I plan to have at the end of all of that!
48 days smoke free now! :T
To be honest, I don't even miss it - I'm still hooked on my nicorette mints and have developed another addiction in the form of pro plus
After my hospital appointment last Tuesday, I met up with a friend for a drink and it turned into one of those 'lost nights' where I don't really remember a lot of it, spent everything I have which wasn't much to begin with and woke up in a strange place
So I've been completely broke from last week until this Friday and I haven't been here because I have a black cloud hanging over me, I can't be bothered with anything and feel completely unmotivated. I'm getting tired of this DFW thing, I'm so glad I only have 18 days left to go!!
Went back to the Dr on Friday to get my results and they were all clear - he said this lump is most likely just a swollen gland and to keep an eye on it that it doesn't get any bigger, I have to go back on 14th April so he can monitor it but he said not to worry....though my chest x-ray showed that my right clavicle is broken....Not sure how you can have a broken bone and not know it?!?!Saved so far - £28,890.97

Wow look at you, nearly there well done. Just read back to the beginning and you'll see how much you've achieved, 18 days will pass in the blink of an eye and then you'll be saving for your fantastic holiday.
Well done on the smoking too!

Payday again today!! 14 days away from debt freedom!
I hope anyway...
I had my CC statement through and had £33.03 in interest + repayment cover taking me back up to £1043.80!
Paid £659.06 this morning and my new total left to pay is just £387.40 :j:j:j
Total paid in Feb - £1,162.57
I should/could have paid off more than this but I've been back at my game for the last few days after it was a friends birthday there and I've ended up claiming slots on a few things and had to buy some csc BUT it's the first time since November and I'm not planning on making too much of a habit of it
I'm enjoying being there though, there is an event going on that's keeping me occupied and busy, plus there is a weight loss board that I've joined with a few friends to keep me motivated on my journey - I've been eating (relatively) healthy and walking a lot - still haven't got on to my 30 day shred dvd but I've managed to lose 4Ibs and am now 15st 10Ibs :T
Not a huge loss but it's a start!!Saved so far - £28,890.97

Received my £6.50 cash back I got from my New Look order today and used it to make a PAD to the CC - £378.24 left to go! :T
£1,169.07 paid in Feb - £10.93 off of my target but oh well
Meeting a friend for dinner at gourmet burger tonight after work and after going a little wild on poker over the weekend, I only have £52.97 to last til the 7th March! Also going to another friends in Hertfordshire this weekend so it will be another tight week
I've been really good at paying down the debts but when it comes to my 'spending money' I know I've just been wasting it on carp and suffering for the week before payday so what I'm really worried about is after the debt is gone next week, I won't be as disciplined as I have been these months and end up spending even more on carp I don't need!Saved so far - £28,890.97

After thinking this would be a tight week - It ended up not being bad at all! I met my friend for dinner at gourmet burger last week and spent just £18 :T
I didn't go to my friends in Hertfordshire though as she burnt her kitchen down cooking black eyed beans :rotfl:
Fortunately it wasn't too bad, just a little wall and floor damage around the cooker and no-one got hurt
I have 2 days to go til payday, I had £20 in my account and £5.89 in my purse. Made a £20 payment to my CC this morning as I won't need it for anything in the next two days and have £358.24 to pay on Friday then I am debt free!! I can't wait to cancel this account and have no-one left to pay!! :jSaved so far - £28,890.97
