No.
Is the short answer. Sorry.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
When you've made a profit?0

Hi,

No one can really acurately tell you when you should sell shares as it's always a guess.
It would be my guess that the share price will go up in the future. I also have Lloyds shares and will not be selling mine for some time yet.0 -

What I want to know is, when will they start paying dividends again?Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0

LLOY was my first ever purchase. Didn't really think about timing. Bought at 74.94 a month and a half ago, dropped below that several times.
Currently 80.37 so that over 7% in a month and if you bought 6 months ago it's 50% and a year ago it's near 100%. So things are going in the right direction.
You have SW and TSB to sell off, the governments stake to sell off, which given the RMG overhype could be good if something like that happens and the dividend to come back which the CEO said would be a large chunk of profits so I think buy and hold is a good punt.0 -
LLOY shares were over £5 in 2007. With the banks being too big to fail and now getting their act together post the banking crash there is every chance the present share price of 80p will go past £1 and continue up. It is always a bit of speculation but I would have thought it unlikely for the share price to fall much below its present level (unless another scandal hits Lloyds - cross fingers and everything else
).
If you buy shares you can not expect to have instant access to the money unless you are happy to make loss. Of course you may be lucky and make a gain at the time you need the money. That is not necessarily my experience. :undecided0
