HELP! Cant connect to the internet

I've tried all of the suggestions as well and nothing. I'm just going to get a new router, I should have believed the reviews of my netgear router and not bothered getting it

My Sistem In Law purchased a Acer aspire 5101 with buikt in WIFI from ebuyer with Windows XP media Edition. Fantastic laptop and worked with a wireless Router provided by BT first time. Recently she cn't go onto the internet anymore. When she boots up the laptop and Windows Loads up, in the bottom right corner it comes up with 'connection: excellent'. Then when she tries to go onto the internet via IE7 it comes up working off line and pages cannot be displayed messages. I've checked everywhere for a solution on thr web and I have had no joy and it's driving me crazy!!!!:EasterBun!!!!

Anyone here has a similar problem and find a solution for it? I would really appreiate you comments.

Before you waste money on a new router, start your own thread and people on here will try to help you.

Ditto everyone else with problems, have your own thread with details of your equipment, your problem, what you have done etc, and read the wireless sticky for starters.

Hmm looks like the common factor here is bt hub as I have that as well.............but have a samsung R40p,
