Hi,
I have been set up on my wireless for sometime at home and over the weekend it suddenly stopped working. It just wouldnt allow me to get on line any more. My laptop picks up my hub signal but it doesnt connect me. My hub definitely works as my boyfriend uses the same hub.
I have tried resetting the whole thing again on my laptop but as soon as it asks me to key in the wireless key (i have made sure its keyed correctly) it says its not able to recognise it.
I am using Windows XP.
CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME????

all i could suggest is going
start - control panel - network connections - right click and select properties on your wireless connection and choose propeties - click wireless networks tab -
in the prefferred networks remove all networks there.
press view wireless networks and connect to your prefferred network. Also double check the key using your hubs comp.
hopefully someone more expierenced can help if that doesnt0 -
Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately i have tried going into my 'internet connections' but i'm unable to click on it (as if there is no link ) ive tried loads of different stuff.
Can anyone else help me? PLEASE!

hi,
Thanks for your suggestion. I know im being dum...but how do i clear my cache??0 -
see if you go to contol panel - system - hardware tab - device manager - then look down the list to see if you can see your wireless adapter and does it have any yellow things next to it.
When you go into internet connection can you see the wireless adapter applet their?0 -

hi,
Thank you to both of you for your help - really appreciate it.Unfortunately I have tried both suggestions with no luck.
Can anyone tell me if this is a virus or if i can fix this issue myself??0 -
by any chance i have just had a problem.
My connection went down. restarted system and the wifi thing in the bottom right was trying to connect but kept flickering on and off. so i tried the repair option by right click and it got stuck saying it could not fix. SO i tried to connect back to my network put in key and ok and the thing kept saying it was going to connect but it didnt.
so i disconnected and tried the repair thing again and it worked?
im sorry i cant help anymore but it is funny it has just happened to me
the last thing i can think of is to use hub comp to go into router homepage and take of the wpa/wep and connect yours first and set it back up using your laptop0 -
