Clydesdale Bank (Inc Yorkshire) is branch based and all their infrastructure is geared towards that. Providing documentation to a local branch is relatively easy.

Remember, they don't offer actual internet applications and even phone apps are a fairly recent innovation for them...

Well Lucky you then, same as me. I think the best way is bring alll the documents to the closest branch if you have one near you.

It is risky to send the original documents via post even with recorded delivery ....

In my case there is Clydesdale branch in Piccadilly circus in London, so not a big deal for me but it is still annoying as I will need to leave work early in order to arrive there before they close it

I think the banking industry need to change the way they do verification. Nowadays many people receive their pay slips, bank statements, utility bills in electronic form.

The bank industry will need to rely more one electronic verification rather than just asking people to send the hard copies.
