Hi all,

Just wanted to share this. Paid him, as I thought he had finished (couldn't enter the room as id had just been tiled, grouted etc).

Obviously feel like an idiot but I wanted to try and protect others...

Lots!

They have gripfilled the toilet to the wall, they have even gripfilled the toilet and pedestal - no fixings!

Half the floor tiles havent set - hence all the grout is breaking up and will need to be re-done.

They have caulked in places which will never go off. They have left large gaps around the floor instead of siliconing them.

ok i've seen the video, now normally nearly everyone on here inc myself would say you need to give the trade the benefit of the doubt & the oppertunaty to rectify any faults before doing what you are doing, however there are enough faults to know the trade isn't going to be able to sort them

some faults won't be obvious to most unless you do this kind of thing for a living, but there a number of us that do inc myself, so for that reason I'll post the link

Thank you - yes the tiles are lovely. They are from 'tile and bath co' but I think they are only a Welsh company, but if you want I can dig out the receipt and let you know the brand and model.

I'm going to take some photos of the issue and try to upload somehow later, might give a better picture of the situation. To be honest, I am going to get someone else in to finish/redo elements of it and bill the former plumber - he has had lots of chances to remedy this and unfortunately has moved on to another victim.

what the hell, how can people do some of these things wrong, along with not fixing the toilet/sink! how much extra would that have taken?

We also been had with a local cowboy builder from Caerphilly called sunny days builders :-

COWBOY BUILDERS IN CAERPHILLY. We hired Sunny Days Builders from the leaflet that came through our door. Workmanship was very very poor, The tools the tradesmen were using looked like something from a local car boot sale. I would not recommend these Builders. Very Poor outfit.
