Vegetarian wedding meal?

How do people know now anyway?
They were at another gathering recently, and somebody asked (tongue in cheek) if they were going to be fed rabbit food or real food at their wedding? They said it would be vegetarian and that started the whole discussion.0 -

I think the difference there is about choice. Vegetarians cannot opt to eat meat, whereas us carnivores can eat a meat free meal as well as one containing meat.0 -

This implies that if you are a meat eater, you cannot enjoy a meal which does not contain meat - which speaking a meat eater, is nonsense.0 -
If they were vegetarian for moral reasons, I wouldn't hesitate to agree that it's their wedding and they should be able to serve whatever they like. However, since they aren't vegetarian for moral reasons, it's a little trickier.0

I certainly wouldn't get upset. It's all food to me. Some has meat in it, some doesn't.
If someone is feeding me for free, I eat it and don't complain.0 -
Sounds like a great opportunity to serve a range of vegetarian dishes & see if the omnivores notice. So long as it tastes great, who is going to fuss? You don't *have* to spell out what's being served.0

Serve some top notch vege food, then they won't even notice the lack of meat!
I can't stand people who complain about stuff at weddings - it's about the bride and groom, not them!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
It's up to them what they serve at their wedding. But if they feel uncomfortable not having meat on the menu, they can do what carnivores usually do to us:
Put one meat option on the menu and tell people they have to order it in advance if they want it, and make it something utterly boring and unimaginative. Like lasagne and chips with a salad garnish.
I don't fly but if the vegetarian option is better than the meat, then the meat must be really ropey!Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.0 -
Their wedding, their choice. Surely meat eaters can go without meat for one day, really not a big deal is it?0

Vegetarians CAN opt to eat meat if they're just like the ops friends who only eat veggy because they think it's healthier...
Personally,I think they should serve both like others do.If there was a different reason to their vegetarianism I may have said otherwiseIf women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0
