have worked out a new budget for next year
Good on you. It is hard sometimes to really sit down and dig through all the paperwork and get this sorted, but it is well worth it.
Good news on the bigger OP!
What's your OP target for next year then?
I've been playing around with the OP calculator and don't think I'll be able to reach my dream home in 2018, but definitely going to try my hardest.M3 Dec2015 #160 Target £150,000 (BU £155000)0 -
Poor neglected diary!!
Happy New Year everyone
All still going well:
Managed to OP £6915 last year :j
New budget worked out and we underspent by £180 last month :j
OP'd £1200 this month. This is a one off and will normally be £500 each month with an extra OP every few months depending how the budget is.
Mortgage is now just above £86k :T
New OP target for 2014 is £7500 or more
Things will be tight this year with the new budget but would really like to get the mortgage down to early £70's. Also want to increase savings a little bit - already pay in monthly but would like to add another £500-1,000
Still going with 1poll and back up to £15 and just claimed £10 supermarket voucher from VO. Also still logging into Con3umer Pul3e every week but won't make so much this year as trying not to use any 'real' money on clothes this year (using vouchers & money from Xmas, birthdays and surveys). This is going to be hard as I LOVE clothes
Hope everyone is well and still on track :TOPs Jan - Dec 2013: 6915/6000 :beer:OPs Jan - Dec 2014: 3900/7500Adding to savings: 550/20000 -

I am due to move into my dream house hopefully this month. Feeling a bit sad but happy about it rearly, we need to move to a bigger house, but sad about the mortgage going up so much.£176,000 January 20140 -

Hi alwaystryyourbest, Muser1 and BlueMoo - thanks for stopping by

Alwaystryyourbest, I know what you mean about the mortgage going up. Really hate the thought of it but it will definitely be worth it! Good luck with the move
Weekly shop done but a bit more spent than planned due to some good offers. Will have clean clothes for the next few months and got a money off voucher for petrol too :money:
Have a few things getting done in the house this month and next but have some money put away to pay for it. Trying to decide what to do with council tax money next month and March ('free' months). Not sure whether to put it to mortgage or save it or possibly a bit of both
Happy weekend everyone :beer:OPs Jan - Dec 2013: 6915/6000 :beer:OPs Jan - Dec 2014: 3900/7500Adding to savings: 550/20000 -
Nearly the weekend! :j
Weekly shop done and came in at just under £30 thanks to a Mr S voucher from VO :T Car filled with petrol and trying to make it last a month
Halfway to pay out at OpinionPoll again. Would love to try and claim by end of next month  Should be able to claim another voucher from VO this month too but CP going slow cos I'm not buying any clothes :rotfl:
Set myself a target of £2000 in savings this year. Already have over £11k so just topping up a bit more really. £50 so far this year - not quite sure how I'm going to get the other £1950 though
Happy Friday everyone

Hi everyone

Budget still going well - food under budget this month by nearly £70 and fuel under by about £15 too. Thinking of reducing the food budget as we were almost £55 below budget last month too - hmmm, shall see how we get on next month.
Managed to find £300 for savings so just £1650 left to find
Impatiently waiting for 1st of the month so I can make another OP :rotfl: Looking forward to no council tax for the next 2 months - need to decide on savings or overpayment or maybe split between both?
No clothes purchasing still going well although I really, really want to go shopping :rotfl:
DS has a silly amount of parties to go to over the next couple of months so will need to do a bit of bargain toy hunting and purchasing :money: Anyone know of any good toy deals for boys just now?
Hope everyone is well - nearly the weekend :TOPs Jan - Dec 2013: 6915/6000 :beer:OPs Jan - Dec 2014: 3900/7500Adding to savings: 550/20000 -
RG, if you've got a Waitrose near you get yourself down there pronto as they've reduced their toy range to silly levels (we're talking playmobil sets for £1.99 & the like)
Ps. Good going on the budgeting

Thanks Pearla*Merle - unfortunately we don't have one anywhere near us. Sounds like some good deals though!!
