Wet and windy here in the hills. Mild though so the heating can stay off.
I read every day but rarely post (nothing much happens!).

Just wanted to say many congratulations to TTFTM. Impending redundancies are horrid (went through this in the summer) so it is great that you are now sorted for the future and can now decide how to spend the money!

Hope you feel better soon Dumpling.

    Morning all,

floss thanks for the info re wheat free, I'm going to pop into M&S soon as I get chance, am
Nd I will definitely pick up some Dove Flour, although I'm going to mainly try and manage without bread as well.

I'm off to the dentist this morning. I'm having a mould done for my three missing teeth then they will make me a small denture:eek: don't want it but I can see a gap towards the back when I smile and it's making me self conscious.
I'm catching the bus at the bottom of the hill. I can get to the bus stop just about, but will have to get a taxi back as I can't get back up the hill. Dh is busy with work so can't take out the time to take me.
Not to worry I will manage, going to have a quick look in the library and charity shops to huge if I can see any gluten free cookery books.
Think salad and lamb chops tonight with gluten free pasta.

Have a good day all x

Wet and nasty here today, and, typical, I have to go into the town centre.

When I get back I'm going to dry off and spend a happy few hours transferring very old photos from a damaged album into a nice new one. Then all the photos are in similar sized albums, in date order and easier to enjoy.

Dinner tonight is one of the two casseroles I made yesterday (the other is in the freezer), and dessert is chocolate topped flapjacks because there were odds & ends that needed finishing and that was the only combination that made something edible.

In my civil service days I was told that a colleague had been threatened and would I see her safe onto her bus. Manager then jumped into his car and drove off. I was 6 months pregnant at the time.... anyway, when she was ready to go home about 6 other colleagues 'just happened' to be walking that way as well.
I hope procedures have changed today.

    Morning all,

Bright and breezy at the moment here, but I can see the dark clouds forming. Rain isn't supposed to be here till lunch time, towels on the line so hopefully they will dry.

Cleaning through this morning, I'm usually a 'get up and get going' person, but this morning I'm very CBA!!

Haven't decided what to do for dinner tonight. The boys are going to football so I shall get the TV remote for a while this evening ;)

Have a good day everyone :)

    hi and good morning all

I was up at 1am ish, dropped of after the street, woke up to towie, just as good with no volume on (eye candy only):). I did read most of the postings from yester and all from today so im up to date. I was going to start the thread but it would be incoherent waffle at that time.

ttftm, I was going to ask if the skirt went back, but don't now feel the need to ask.:rotfl: well done on the job front. and to all working posters, :T im one of the long term idol the govt tell you about ;)
floss2 thanks for info on finding the tread, what happens if 2 are started by accident, just wondering, I know its not a federal offence. unlike putting the exhaust ive just referbed on the wrong bike could violate federal law apparently, its stamped on it. should I phone the feds to see if they know which bike it should be on, :rotfl::rotfl:
dg whos the wedding, I love a good wedding, never had one though, my xoh had un-encourageable behaviour. o well happy days, now:)

    Morning,

Wet and mild here too,was 17 deg when I went to bed.Pup doesnt like the rain at all so I think it'll be a quick one on the field at the front-she kept sitting down yesterday morning ;) Managed a longer walk when it stopped in the afternoon though.

I was up at silly o clock, woke up early and couldnt get back to sleep,& started worrying about finances and the house not selling.Although its lovely to live here it's far too big for us now,esp since DS2 moved out,and is a huge drain on our resources, but we are not getting viewers apart from the open days.Bigger houses round here just aren't selling at all,we've got 2 lots of friends whose houses have been up for sale for years, despite drastic cuts in price and I'm getting in a state about it again.Sorry for the moan :(

TTFTM- well done :TI'm so pleased for you.
I made a chicken & mushroom pie yesterday from Sundays roast, and some chicken & veg broth so not a bad return from a reduced price chicken :D I'm feeling the urge to sort out my small freezer, cant find anything so I'll do that when I get back in and see what I can find for tea, bearing in mind DGD will be here.

I started making some Christmas cards yesterday afternoon with a free stamp from a card magazine,I'm late with them this year. I had a die cut stencil of a C tree I was going to use in my Bigshot cutter but it's too fiddly to poke all the bits out and would take me ages to do a load. We didnt seem to get nearly as many last year though,I think a fair few people have stopped sending due to high postage.

nmlc-sounds like you had a 'busy' day at work, some people are so rude :(
Molly-good luck with the dog bathing ,bet you get wet too :D
RedRuby-sometimes it's a relief to get into back into your normal routine but that first encounter with people is very hard, hugs x
Jools-thanks for reminding me about the flu jab,I'm not eligible for a free one now, though I used to when I worked at school.Usually go to a supermarket pharmacy these days.

Have a good day folks x

    Morning :hello:

Time to face the music Fab news :j Congratulations :T:T

Timmy's got something in his eye (just a tiny hair I think), it's not annoying him or causing a problem but I can't get it out. I'm armed with tissues, cotton buds and salty water :D I'm worried that it'll get infected so if I can't sort it out today, I'll take him to the vet. Don't think they'll have much luck either, he has a super-strong neck and it's impossible to hold his head still :D

Master tru had a day off yesterday, he wanted to catch up with paperwork and order a couple of things. Then his plan was to mess about on the internet and go to the gym. But his phone didn't stop ringing, he spent all day taking over the kitchen with his diary, notebooks and scraps of paper. At teatime, he declared his hatred of phones :rotfl:

Had a busy day yesterday, the house is neat and tidy - except for my crafty corner, but that's NOT messy, it's organised creativity  Just one load of washing to hang up, it'll be in the house because it's dreary and wet here today.

Morning (((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.

Great news TTFTM so pleased you have the job and can now get on with your life.

The patient arrived home at 7pm after a 3 hour wait for an ambulance to bring him home, he was very tired. I made him a cup of tea, but he said he needed to sleep so up the stairs to bed on his bum with a crutch to help him at the top. Watching him swivel round on the second to top step I had my heart in my mouth, I could just see him going backwards down the stairs.....a big phew when he made it to the top.

He did wake up enough to have tea and toast befor he settled down again and slept right through, which meant that I got a decent night too. He has had his breakfast, just waiting till he has 'been' before dressing him and getting him downstairs. We can manage the rest.

I am still quite tired, so may have a nap myself if he goes to bed after lunch.

Load of washing in, will have to dry it inside and also
iron the sheets etc from yesterday which are now dry.

    Hi eveyone,

TTFTM well done on the new job.

I'm off to the hairdresser in a few moments - I had to get up early to take DS' gf's sister to work (long and boring story) so I'm feeling a bit tired, good job I can take a nap later.

I made a start on the utility room yesterday but I want to rearrange the cupboards and get rid of the dog food (our 14 year old poodle died in August). It's the first time in my life that I've been without a dog and it's still hard at times. DD was absolutely devastated because she was actually her dog even though she lived with me and DH. She was the loveliest dog you can imagine.

Apart from that and some sewing not a lot else going on here. Will have to put my thinking cap on about dinner, DH is doing the 5/2 diet so it's always harder on fast days.
