I had a spent yesterday in Sainsbury's of £10.40, including a coupon for £4.50 off when I spent £30 as I bought a dress which will come from another budget if it fits :D I also got 150 points for spending £10 on pet products, as I went with a friend and she let me put her cat litter through with my stuff to get the extra points, AND double points too :rotfl:

There is £40.27 left in the food budget today and I get paid tomorrow so I'm under budget :D:D

I am going to probably head to Morrisons today to do a massive monthly shop though as I have £54 on my Christmas savings card and will use that to get properly stocked up on things like meat and tins to try and keep this month's budget to a minimum so that the extra can go for tasty Christmas food. I'll make use of their 3 for £10 on meat and check out what deals are showing online so I get good value for money.

I'll report back on my final spends tonight.

sorry for this daft question but I've removed the label from my roast beef and the instructions have stuck to the packaging so I can't read them!

My beef joint is 1.662kg - can anyone give me any pointers as to cooking time please? I've taken it out the fridge so it can cook from room temperature and I'd like the meat well done. Also, how long should it be rested for ??

Pheeeeww... little forgotten yellow butter tub with previous month's leftover cash has just proven it's worth. Under £5 in it but enough to get the pajama pants/nappies plus I can grab a natural yoghurt to try Jack's bircher breakfast :)

Hi everyone just reporting in, been offline a couple of days so need to catch up.
    Spends over last week
As*a - spent £8.67 on things to supplement menu plan
    Co&p - £5.40 on cheese and salad
Sainsbugs - £65.42 but this included £10 for branded vodka for christmas and a Joint of beef £15.00 reduced from £25.00. Also used a £5 off £50 spend voucher and used £5 worth of points, gained 51p on pricematch and additional points for buying some corned beef so although it was my biggest shop for a while should still stay within budget, am going to declare £39.91 as DS1 will pay for the meat.
Payday will be one week on Wednesday so have menu planned until then and fingers crossed....
