    Hi,

I've only just found this site and I'm really excited by all the help and encouragement to make the most of our money.

I spend around £100 a week on a main shop and lots of little top ups during the week. I'd like to try and limit my spending to £350 for November!

My first shop for November was today. Just got some reduced veg, wholemeal rolls and toilet roll. £5.72 spent. Sains order is arriving tomorrow and we will be all set for November. Bad start tonight though as our freezer has broken! Had to throw away loads of food. Boo!!

Sorry, should have said budget for November is £250 please

  • So happy with how it's going! Hubby popped into Tesco on the way home from work for milk and bread.. And came home with milk, two 7p loaves and two 7p packs of pitta bread from the reduced bit! Usually there'd be junk that I'd insisted we needed along with any reduced cakes he saw... and probably booze but not today :)

    Hi
Please can I join this challenge if its not too late? My Nov pay came in on 25th October to my month started that same day and will end on 27th Nov. Please can my budget be (for 3 of us)
£200. Unfortunately already managed to spend £76.37 but week one is almost over and the fridge and cupboards are well stocked. Really need to stop spending!!
    Good Luck everyone!

  • Well, plan for an October spend of £200 didn't happen... (DD's 16th birthday, with food and Butter Beer for four at Harry Potter World didn't help ) Hopefully a less spendy month coming up as we need to be making room in the freezer for Christmas dinner :xmastree:

Only the three of us (me, DD and DS), so what we need gets bought early and stuck in the freezer (all ready to cook in foil trays so I don't have much cooking or washing up to do, a throwback to the Christmas Days when they were little and I spent hours putting together Playmobil houses, pirate ships etc!).

So November's plan is to take out £50 in cash each Friday and NOT use cards to pay for any grocery shopping. Starts tomorrow - wish me luck!
  • Can I please be put down for a target of £100 this month. Have spent £16 in tesco will update sig. Thanks and good luck everyone.
:j Good things come to those who coupon. :j
