Coming in over budget this month. It's OK, i bought some Christmas food with my last 2 weekly shops, so i thought i would come in over budget.
Off to Decembers thread0 -
Daughter bought ice cream for last night, treats for tonight and bread as I was on the way to work. Totted up with estimated total, but will amend if different.
Found out I don't get paid til the 6th of Dec, so I don't know whether to start on the 1st when I normally do or start from when I get paid.If I do the latter I probably won't hit target after all.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £89.90/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. I have some questions to ask of how you all do this as it's my first month.
I bought some things in Aldi on Thursday but the date the amount is deducted from my bank account is Monday which is in December which month would you count this for?
I bought some things today which will also come out in December and I'm splitting between Christmas things and non Christmas things and only counting those things which are everyday groceries as going towards my grocery challenge. I'd like to have your views as to which month you would count these in as I doubt they will show on my statement until the 3rd of December.
My bank account has a money manager on it and I set my budget based on how much it thought I was spending on groceries in a previous month and obviously it goes from the date it was processed at the bank rather than on the day spent. I'd be interested to know how you decide which month something falls in.0 -
I've decided to count the spends referred to in the post above in Novembers budget:
Running Total = £138.21
Aldi =£15.88
Home Bargains = £19.98
Total for November =£174.07
As stated at the beginning if I came in below £175, I could put an extra £50 into savings towards paying my mortgage off. Really pleased with this amount as I can now make it £51!0 -
Not been able to get on to update but done really well this month, ran the freezer down so Decembers going to be expensive as I need EVERYTHING as due to lack of time/us both working alot we went through all the prepared meals I had in there.. and pretty much everything else! So declaring at £148.53 for November :j
See you all on the December thread!New House... New Mortgage! February 2017: £144,000

Have done my final shop of Nov and am declaring a total £183.69 out of a target of £220 so that's a lovely £36.61 under budget.
the highest % of money has been spent on fruit & veg again which am more than happy about.MARCH £62.38/2500 -

Personally, i would count this as December.0 -

I count a purchase as made on the day I make it regardless of when the deduction comes out of my account. I don't think there's any right or wrong way to do it - just be consistent on how you record your spends.

My final post for November and I have managed another NSD.
So I am closing at 223.35/240. This means only £6.65 under after feeding the 'DS with Hollow Legs' for nearly a fortnight so don't feel too bad. :rotfl:
The £6.65 goes to my Bulk Buy budget which should go some way to paying for Chrissy I hope. j)
I'm off to update my signature and then drift over to December.
'Mixed Freezer Soup' (LO bits and pieces) for Tea with a fresh 'part-baked' baguette, then a bit more comfort food - Banana Custard - to use up last of the bananas.
