this is obviously a very emotional & stressful time, you need to stay where you are and you will be entitled to housing benefit. Essentially as you are nearly on maternity so I would get all the forms, when you call tell them your situation & they will know which ones to send you. Good luck!0

Sorry you're having such a c**p time at the moment. But just wanted to say that if you stay in at the marital home which is being bought by yourselves by way of mortgage, then you won't be entitled to "housing benefit" to pay towards the mortgage. DSS used to pay towards the "interest" on a mortgage when someone was in need but only after the first 6 months - but I don't know if they still do that. Also the whole benefit system is supposed to be being altered hugely next year - with the introduction of Universal Credit - but the introduction of this has been delayed and there's still problems with it. It will be massive changes for all claiming bens when/and if it's introduced.
