I really must get on and make BBQ food...it was a last minute decsision and I have 2 hours to prepare, and tidy the place before they arrive!!!

It doesn't make it right, or better for your daughter, but he's not some monster. I wonder whether Childline could give you some advice on how to proceed?

Not much happening here today. Lots of washing on the line (lots of washing all over the place in fact, as it rained so much yesterday). If it stays dry then I want to do some pruning in the garden.

Steak and potato croquettes for dinner today. Also need to meal plan for the week, first time in months that I haven't meal planned.

just tied up my tom plants.. had to chuck one out. also my rocket has now gone to flower.. does anyone no if it can be saved or do i need to start again ?

Well we seem to be busy on here today (no time to post), however, I am going to be brave and put the two roof vents we have taken out of our caravan for sale on e-bay.

Does anyone know when the next cheap listing day is likely to be?

Afternoon all, very quick one as am supposed to be cooking lunch!!:o Not been able to get on as its exam season and DH has to mark online still it HAS to be done. HUGS to all but especially catowen, jet & CrazyChick thinking of you. Fathers day is a bit strange for me as my dad died just after I turned 7 so don't really have any strong memories.of him. I am still having fun with sending PM's although I manages 2 on Friday. I WILL try to reply later. Anyway best go and finish(start!!):rotfl: cooking lunch. Good Afternoon All

Well, after feeling so sick with nerves, I went to my dad's, only to find no-one was home. I wrote on the envelope, would be nice to see/chat soon, and posted his cards thorugh the door. Ive made 4 attempts recently to make contact, and had no response. Im still non the wiser if Im accepted in his life or not! My mum has said that he is playing with my emotions, and that Im making myself ill over it. So I think its time to move on and let him make contact with me. I have given him the olive branch to act up on, (more like the ruddy tree!). I will see if he gets in touch when he moves! Yes I would like to know either way, but I think, I must move on. If the day comes he does get in touch, then that will be a surprise & a bonus! My ex has certainly got a lot answer for!

Been to the garden centre and finally brought some blue slate hopefully to finish off the wall area which OH built last yr around the patio. it seems to be taking forever, but with little money & time, there's always a delay!

All washing finally done and dried.
Housework, caught up with, only kitchen/hall floor to mop & sweep.
I emptied the kitchen cupboards y-day, cleaned and sorted out junk!
Roast chicken for dinner today!

Its quiet without DS here, I think DD is even missing him, its bliss not to listen to bickering!

Right, Im off to help OH before he moans at me!

Hi all
Late post from me today, DGS has gone home. We've been to buy the fish food & a tray of petunias to fill in some holes in my tubs.
I'll light a candle for my dad soon he died in 2003 & I wasn't there at the end as my ex wouldn't pass on any messages to me from my step mum & she'd lost my new phone number, I try not to brood & tell my self, the my ex will get his reward one day.
I must get my sewing maching out in a sec & by the time Ive finished sewing the roast lamb & roast pots should be cooked. I'll spend an hour on my budget spread sheet & by them it will be time for bed!

A late post from me, we have been to the allotment again this morning, more strawberries and potato's, planted cabbage, perpetual broc, lettuce and four more herb plants. Then it was on to the weeding, at least the rain made it easier to pull them out........started to dig the bed for the leeks which will have to go in at the end of this month. OH has planted rocket and some other salad crops, the tommies are starting to flower, once they set I will have to start feeding them. My flower pots are doing well too, they are going to be lovely once they all come out. The lilies will bloom soon too.

We were late back, so will be later having supper, pork chops, stuffing, carrots cauli and new spuds..........vienetta for afters I think..........have some rhubard, but not enough for a crumble and we had strawberries and yoghurt for lunch.........

Quite a nice day, just the day to hang washing out!!!! Had hoped to get some sewing done, but our allotment visit put paid to that..............I am going to have to designate a day as a sewing day, have not really got back into a routine since we moved.

DD is arranging to get the dresser over to her, so then I will be able to start a new routine, with more room to move in the sitting room, cleaning will be easier.

OH watching the Falklands thinggy on TV, I had better go and do something about tonights supper...............

Afternoon all,

Overcast here to-day, but getting rid of washing to line as it comes from wm as I can't think of having it around the house...bought two radiator airers in Lidl yesterday, I think that they will both fit on landing radiator and take a load to-morrow if clothes not dry. Really need a new wm as mine is about 10 years old and has to be filled by hand for two rinses each load...other rinses work fine! Want to wait until I decide whether to knock wall between utility room and kitchen before I buy one in case the space I need is different, probably won't be, but procrastination is my middle name, someday I will just say 'to h**l with this crack' and go buy a new one which won't fit in etc.

Hugs to Jet77 and DDs and to everyone else in need of comfort for whatever reason.

Just OH and me here atm, we had a visit from DS3, DIL2 and DGS1 for Father's Day, it will be phone calls from the others as none of them are near enough to call in this weekend.

We had the usual Sunday breakfast of a big fry and I felt bloated...breakfast was lighter for last three weeks. Plan to just do pasta of some kind in a while and follow with some pineapple as I bought one yesterday in Lidl for 99c.

Can't shake off the thought that I am still on holiday, have lots of things to do tomorrow...banking etc so will try and get myself going early...DGS1 will be here from two also.

I had done all my housework yesterday. I went out last night so had a lay in this morning - I went shopping today and may go and read a book in a minute. Then I will make dinner baked spud and bolognese with salad - yum.

Crazychick - I dont know the story and your dad might be different but I met my dad after 18 years and he was not interested he seemed it now and again but played with my emotions. However, he did pay some attention to my daughter and that was enough for me.
