    Morning Everyone

At work yet again. Raining here, but it's meant to get nicer later.

Got a thumping headache, which I've had since last night. Also beginning to lose my voice. Feeling very stressed.

Not sure what I'm doing after work. Hoping to see bd, but who knows:confused:

Visited Mr T yesterday - spent £78:eek: But I did manage to save around £6 on bogofs and with vouchers. Plus a bit more from the reduced section. Was working yesterday afternoon, trying to notch up some overtime to claim back. It was so boring. I was over the moon when it was time to go home!!!

Hope everyone's ok and that all dads have a good day

    Good Morning Everyone

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! to those who will be celebrating or remembering!

Ive not been around for a while. Been quite depressed & didn't want to burden you all with my moan's n groans. Let's just say, I feel no better!

Realised that I'd been driving with my old car tax disc on display. It expired 30th March, luckily I did re-new it - just forgot to swap them over. Chap at work told me! They all panicked thinking I tax dodger might get caught!

DD wrote to the fairies in the wk, asking for her cuddly 'unicorn' toy to come alive, as she wants a pet unicorn. She'd been saving all her apples up from her lunch box, working out places where it could sleep and who was doing the poo duty! How could I explain to a 7yr old that it wont happen! My boss & colleague at work got their heads together and wrote a letter replying, unicorn's belong in fairy land as they are a magical creature, and need to be looked after properly etc, and printed out an 'official adoption certificate' for one of fairy's youngest unicorn called 'MoonBeam'. DD was over the moon. I had to explain a few times about the adoption process. She has then proceeded to write a thankyou letter, and now asking, "as I cant have a unicorn, how about a horse instead please?" I think I will let my boss handle this one!

I text my dad in the week, Saying I will be in town, and asked if he fancied meeting me for a coffee (father's day treat), no - response! I've not had a response from the previous text about our family tree, nor from the letter, I wrote a while ago! I think I can honestly say, I know where I stand with him. I was debating wether or not to post his father's day cards, but I decided, I will go up in person. Im up early, as I couldn't sleep with worry, as to what I will walking in to!

Father's day - afternoon - will be spent at the crem for a while, say hi to Grandad! Allthough I speak to him every day, there was no point in going really! Nice for some fresh air, and to see the flowers in the grounds!

Twink - dlb updated me ref the accident. I d hope your'e ok, and that LO is on the mend now. Kyle, so sorry for LO, he must be in some pain, and Ive never experienced any broken bones either, I cant advise on what to do either. (((Hugs))) to you all! Im sure you'll know what to do best, if LO suffers!

Sorry if Ive missed anything else important
Thankyou to those who PM me as to my where abouts! Im still alive, body still here, but haven't a clue where my spirit has gone!

dlb - dlad DS had a great birthday, despite the hassle's you've been getting from your sister.
hope you got the lining sorted out in the car ref the fag burn! lol - Since Ive banished smoking to the kitchen only or outside if its not raining, we've cut down loads.
lil-me - glad you had an excellent time in blackpool! I just love Keith Harris & Orville! Did you ever watch that celebrity reality show on channel 5 (I think) called the Farm! When he appeared on that?
Mrsmortenharket - so sorry to hear about your gran, my thoughts are with you.
stefjb - Im so pleased that finally you have the photo's! :j Do you know anyone with a printer/scanner/copier? You can scan the pics to your pc, then at least be able to transfer to a cd. At least you will have copies!

    Off for a cuppa
    Love Emma xxx

    Morning all

Thinking of everyone today, many people seem to be having a stressful time.

(((jet77))your poor daughters and you having to go through that situation. You must be horribly worried. Thank goodness you have such a fantastic relationship with them that they are able to tell you.

Quennie thanks for your tips yesterday about getting rid of stuff. I might have a look at ebay though I'm always slightly wary of it....especially as postage has gone up so much recently! But you're right, it's worth a look.

snowy-owl don't worry, I live by myself and I often look around and wonder who has made the flat into a mess *grin*

Yesterday I was looking at buying a bed. I have been umming and ahhing for weeks now (whilst sleeping on an inflatable matress). All my friends are laughing at me for taking so long :( But it's a big purchase and I don't want to make a mistake!

I've finally decided on the bed base I want, now it's just looking at the mattresses. I'm tempted by memory foam as I have lots of problems with my back. I've tried them in shops and they seem the most comfortable...but they cost £1000!!!! I hope I'm not making a mistake. I've read the thread on MSE, but in the shops when I tried all the mattresses I preferred the Tempur. I guess it's down to personal choice. Fingers crossed I've made the right decision.

Finally, all of those who have fathers still with them please do see everyday as precious. It is so hard when they are not here anymore. Thinking of everyone who wishes they could give their dad a card today.

Must dash, have to pop over to a friend's today to write an essay, then back to the big smoke.

    MPx

(P.S. Hiya Shez. Was reading Bridget Jones yesterday and thought of you with the Mr Darcy connection!)

    Good morning everyone,

Bit sunnier here in Scotland so washing first up. Just waiting for DH to unload the car but I can hear him talking & talking & talking downstairs. DD might ring soon and I would like to put a load on before she rings. Ferry was late leaving last night so we didn't arrive back her until 11pm. Twas a long trip.

Had a lovely time with Snowy & Pink. You have no idea how fantastic it has been to actually meet some of you. Who would have thought 2 years ago when I stumbled across this site, half way across the world that it would bring me so much happiness and friendship. It's really put the icing on the cake for us.

Well plans for today will be packing. DH will have to sort out what clothes he wants NOT to take back so I can fit all my tacky souveniors in. :D Will also have to start the goodbye visits as well. I can ports getting dragged up the stairs so I;ll be off.

Jet (((((Hugs)))) You have some good advice here.

Hope you all have a great day. Byeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Good morning OS'ers

Hugs to those that need them today.

Miserable day here again but I'm not going to let that put us off going to a summer fete later. Will be walking there and back (about 4 hours in total) as walking 15000 steps per day last week resulted in a 4lb loss this morning :T
Hoping to pick up some lovely food at the fete and perhaps treat myself to the all you can eat veggie buffet unless I can be very disciplined....

Will be making a ricotta, courgette and pea lasagne, some dauphinois potatoes and a noodle and chilli stir fry when I get back which will feed us both over the next couple of days.

    Morning everyone

Just a quick hello as I am up before everyone else. (((hugs)))) to many with problems this morning, I hope they all get sorted soon, wouldn't know where to start, but you seem to be keeping calmer than I would!

Glad to see you are now OK Amie.

Mrsmortenharket sorry to hear about your gran, but have been lucky to have her so long. DH and I are both youngest kids with siblings 10/8 years older, and didn't have our DS until mid-30's so GP were "old" when we had DS, knowing they probably wouldn't have too many years with him, we made sure he had time with them whenever possible. He lost one GD at 11, a GM at 12, another GM at 18, and my Dad is still here in body with dementia. He has great memories of the time spent with them all, and can recall various activities and places he went together, so our plans worked.

Happy Fathers Day to any Dad's out there, I will take my Dad a card and some sweets later, but he will have no recollection of who and what we are.

Having a brilliant weekend with our friends, the weather has not been as forecast, and we had a dry day yesterday, and even managed to eat late lunch inthe garden.

Only 2 working weeks left for me now, its going fast and slow at the same time!

    Take care

    Good morning everyone,

Jet ((HUGS)) to you and your DDs, cant add anything other than what has already been said, but my thoughts are with you xxxx

Amie and Shez - i also watched Tiswas, sad to say, i was able to sing along to the 'bucket of water song' , 25 years later!!!!!

Not a good day for me today - Fathers day is always hard, and not even for the reasons that a lot have. My children have a dad who only cares when he wants to, and i have a dad who has cut me out of his life completely, because of his second wife - i used to be incredibly close to him so it hurts so much. I dont normally dwell on it (think its his loss not mine, my children are wonderful and he doesnt get to see them) but on a day like today, it brings home how much i really miss him.
Ive also had a text from my mum to say my nan is poorly, and it looks like she is now bed ridden. She is 98 (99 in November) and has always been such a wonderful woman, im finding it hard to think that she might be going downhill, and at the moment i cant even visit her as we are too far away, and im struggling a bit with money - will speak to my mum later to see if she will lend me some petrol money and maybe go and visit next weekend. If i had known a week or 2 ago, i had some money from some ebay sales, but its already been used and now im kicking myself for not keeping some back (but i prob would only fritter it away, so best out of the way quickly) - and anyway, i know my nan would want my debts paid before her, she knows i love her, i just hope i can visit before anything happens.

Well, ive prob depressed everyone enough now, so sorry about that, im going to have a cuppa and think about getting dressed!!!

    Have a lovely day everyone,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Have just spoken to my bank and they will now allow my pc world pyt to go though so just need to tel PC world and I can get it ordered. This one is definately on its way out and It would be big trouble for my business if it went before I get all the stuff transferred onto the new one! DS can have this one till it finally dies.

Best be off now - have a great day.
