this is a really good way to clear freezer, might start doing this myself0 -

Food purchased = 2 "yellow-sticker" cucumbers/local shopping.
UHT milk stock up, one fridge item and two freezer items (nearly 900gr)/online order.
Mini-challenge to use up ten items = three left now.
Long-term challenge = empty another freezer drawer before the end of this month (excluding the wild bird feed in it).
P.S. Thanks for your comment donnajt. I think I got the idea based upon another poster using the term "mini-challenge".0 -

Just two items left (from the ten) to use up for my mini-challenge. The freezer drawer that I aim to empty is progressing. Took out two stored garlic soup portions and created some garlic bread; four helpings.
Managing to work around using present food "stocks" before purchasing more locally. Also, great when the weather is off-putting for going out!0 -

Not posted for a few days. I'm starting to buy and put away bits for the festive period if they go on special offer so the freezer space I had created is slowly being filled. At least this year I should have enough space to freeze everything I want to in advance which is progress I suppose.
