    Evening diary,

Missed a few days so hope is everyone is well and I've some diary reading and catching up to do.

Suspect I'm not the only one to have slept badly with the heatwave and be shattered, but lovely evening with a breeze out there and all the washing is drying on the line :)

Food shop done and a spend of £32.13, but no meat as all the fridges were empty - so will be using chicken portions and pork steaks from the freezer for the DIYer this weekend I think.

Fuel fill up yesterday at £39.50 - price seems to have shot up towards the old levels here

Don't think I've spent on anything else, been busy working and making enquiries on alternative offices and watching Wimbledon :D

    Financials then:
    - bank account checked daily - interest credited of £12.92
    - freepostcodelottery checked
    - Inbox Pounds at £15.67
    - Qmee - up a tad at 45p

Ooh, paid my tax bill as well on Wednesday - as I'm quite forgetful lately decided to do it as soon as it arrived.

Got some work on tomorrow which is billable and a house that needs cleaning badly  so it's looking like a busy one. The garden will mainly be electrical work this weekend - bill of £70 for the lights and boxes and bits and pieces. And I'll whip up another lemon cake first thing to keep them going with their cuppas :)

Early night coming up I think - catch up on some of the lost sleep :)

I will Beanie and you too - get work out of the way tomorrow and the rest of the weekend I can do stuff in a more relaxed way.

Forgot about another spend yesterday - we had dental check ups so a bill of £28 for mine. Dentist has changed his tune on my new wisdom tooth from 'you'd be better off without it' 6 months ago to 'it needs removing, I can do it now'. Terrified about covers how I feel... hate going but always have and set a good example to DS (who's never needed a thing doing to his, lucky boy).

Sooo..I'm gonna fit that in somewhere over the summer and with it another bill (not sure how much but guessing expensive as it's private). :(

Reading Lilt's diary has reminded me I've worn a dress today - first time in goodness knows how many years! A £5 sale jobbie from F&F/T3sco but lovely loose cool cotton..but means it'll need ironing when it gets in the wash  Didn't think that one through :rotfl:

Sounds like you're well. We have slept OK here but only because I've fitted aircon.

:rotfl: At the £39.50  fuel bill. ;)

Is that half a tank in the Landie, Alex? :D. Aircon must be bliss :)

Fantastic thunderstorms overnight on Friday, Springer wanted to go out and investigate

A few financial updates this morning - ISA monthly interest has been credited of 63p.

Mortgage interest is showing online too and July's amount is £362.49.

At 31/12/13 it was £410.34 - now down by £47.85 per month
Last month it was £365.30 - this month down by £2.81

Daily interest at 31/12/13 was £13.44 - last month £12.02 and this month another milestone as it's into the £11's at £11.92 :j

Slightly changes the capital OP amount, which goes up by 2p to £250.08 :D

Splitting interest for the month by mortgage part:

    Part 1 - £95,550 - interest £293.91 - £9.67 per day
    Part 2 - £22,300 - interest £68.58 - £2.25 per day

Appetite satisfied for figures today then :rotfl:

Work completed yesterday, a lemon sponge cake with lemon buttercream filling made (and all eaten ) and the garden is taking a different direction than electrics today - the patio is coming up :D. One slab lifted last night and the dogs went mad sniffing and scratching....hope there's nothing untoward underneath it

Means I need to order the new one and the matching setts for edging very soon.

Another cake to make shortly - a chocolate one this time so DS gets a bit :)

Hope everyone has a good Sunday - cooler and cloudy here at the moment :)

I wish £39.50 bought half a tank of fuel in the Landy. Even now it costs more than £100 to fill it, when the fuel was really high it was just over £120. Mind, at the moment, it's off the road awaiting a suspension and front axle rebuild, so I'm slumming it in a Defender.

The aircon was one of my better ideas, it works well enough to keep the bedroom cool. The unit itself was not bought new and cost £20, so I was quite pleased it worked at all.

We too had a fantastic thunderstorm, at one point the whole sky turned bright green here. I failed to convinced my son it wasn't something to be frightened of, though.

Glad everything is going well with your mortgage and garden. Hope you got around to making the cake and that the week ahead is a good one.

Landy avoided the cull then? ;) Fuel here is rising by 1p a week consistently, no idea when that will stop and settle.

Aircon sounds like a bargain, is it expensive to run?

Quite normal for kids to be frightened of thunder and lightening - some of the claps of thunder made me jump :o. All you can do is be there and re-assure and give him a big cuddle :D

I did indeed make a chocolate cake yesterday - that was all eaten up too. DS denied eating a bit whilst I was out...only to be confronted with the evidence he'd cut the 'wrong' end for a slice :rotfl:

Chipping away at the mortgage still - next month should see the interest hit £50 a month lower than December 13 - that's a good bit of extra money that's being wrapped into the capital :j

The patio is all up and most of the slabs have been taken by advertising it on Fr33cycle - a quick win for disposal. Nothing underneath it except it was laid on a mix of soil and sand - not the proper base it should have . So that's part way through being dug out (it's 7m x 3m)...can see another grab lorry being needed with all the concrete in builders bags that needs to be got rid of as well, though have advertised that on Fr33cycle too.

DIYer and I went off to a large paving centre that I didn't know existed until yesterday - I drove on fast country roads and a dual carriageway - that's the furthest I've been and all was fine :j. Really hoping this is the turning point for getting back behind the wheel for further afield.

Found a good matching patio/circle/setts for the gravel and path, DIYer gone away to create the random pattern and come back with what he needs and then it can be costed up fully. Bought 8 setts to check for colour matching - so spent £2.72. They also sell the gravel I have, which is fab as rather than having to order the bulk size, I can get small bags of it if it's needed and prices are competitive.

Still to get 2 birthday cards and a New Home card - job for tomorrow. Housework still to do, holiday still to sort - time running out on that one, office to give notice on end of this week. Garage to ruthlessly sort out so make room for stuff

    Financials then:
    - bank account checked - £100 gone to DS's 6% reg saver, use and pay off monthly CC whole payment set up to go out on 17th
    - freepostcodelottery checked
    - Inbox Pounds - up at £15.90 with some searches still to do
    - Qmee - has 45p in the pot

T@lk T@lk bill dropped in email box on Saturday and I missed the 24 hr slot to get the 10% Speedy Discount :( Annoyed with myself on that.

Easy dinner tonight of sausages, mash and veg - slightly overdone as I pre-empted Murray winning a bit quicker than he did and had to watch it to the end :rotfl:

Hope everyone's week has started off well :)

My migraines were more typically hormone related or need for sleep related than food related. Try to look for cycles.

Only connection I've found so far is probably not drinking enough water, so aiming for 2 litres a day - which seems like alot when I keep forgetting

I'm sure hormones are playing a part, which is creating the feeling weird - having quite a few of those days too.
