I've registered with FlightStats but can't find the flight. I remember them adding something to the end of the flight number to get away with it being delayed rather than cancelled.
I've narrowed it down to 2 dates - nothing unusual showing on either of them.

Still not much progress - except for the date.
But how's this for finding info - I've kept budget sheets since I first joined MSE in 2006 and have gone through the August/September 2011 ones and have the exact dates for when I collected currency from the bank and also the departure date from Majorca as I used my CC both in the airport and the shop where I bought overnight bits and fresh tops in the evening. (I keep a spreadsheet of CC spends for my monthly CC as well). :j
Still no real luck from the flightstats site though, as it shows the original flight but not with the added letter on the end (might be an N or S) nor any delays to it. It's all a bit odd. We did take off but then landed back about an hour later and that does kind of add up with the data on Flight Stats. But no delay stats against it.
Wonder where I can go from here? Would I be best writing on that basis or writing for a Subject Access Request as the airline are bound to have all the records?Back on the DFW Wagon:

A tad more progress!
I posted about compensation on the forum about a week after it took place and was privately messaged by a passenger who was also on the flight - I've still go the messages and have just got firmer information to supplement what I have.
Flightstats has got both an ETA and Scheduled - the former is 7 hrs later, but no actual arrival time...because it didn't go that day at all.
I've looked at the following day and there is no flight for that airline at all. I think I've got enough information though now with the flight number, date and time of original booked departure and I know it was 25 hrs from that to when we finally took off and landed back at Luton.
Right, going to give this a go and get a letter prepared probably Sunday now as working tomorrow.
It wouldn't surprise me if I've still got the envelope of boarding card pieces and holiday information, though I had a clear out in 2012 and it might have gone with that. Ashame if it has, as we were given letters by the airline both ways apologising for the delays...Back on the DFW Wagon:

Today's final update! How many times can a girl post in one day
This afternoon I:
- changed/washed towels and emptied all the bins
- got the housework done upstairs, plus hall and cloakroom
- spent an hour or so on work stuff
- de-cluttered the Drawer of Doom in the kitchen, just leaving the Drawer of Deep Gloom :rotfl: Still got 5 cupboards to go aka Black Holes 1-5
- did meter readings as the quarterly bills are due. Good news, we've used £44 less in electric this last quarter and £83 less in Gas compared with the same period last year. I only started the cut back on usage just as I started my diary, so there's 3 weeks of flamboyant use included shall we say. I do think the temps have been significantly warmer than last year as well, but still, a saving is a saving.
Financials:
freepostcodelottery checked
bank account checked
Nectar adpoints - double ad and 10 points, now up to 64
Nectar canvass - there are new surveys by looks of things, I need to delve in and pick up some points
Nectar card - still at £22.02
That's my lot for today!Back on the DFW Wagon:

Today has flown by and with working, has been a NSD too. :j I stayed up very late last night fiddling with my spreadsheets and have got some challenging but hopefully doable debt reduction targets for 2014.
So - CC/Car debt - aim is reduce by £5,200 and mortgage is to reduce by £8,400. Everything I can think of is factored into my budgets except a holiday for this year and we're hoping to stay in a friend's caravan which should keep costs right down.
Argos and Boots orders were both ready for collection today, so picked those up en route home tonight. Really pleased with all those and they're safely stored ready for Christmas. Got a Boots card form and used the temp card to get all the points loaded. Just need to complete the application and send off.
DS had tea at my mums, so we'll have the chilli tomorrow night instead. As the meat is already defrosting in the fridge for the beef stew I planned tomorrow, I'll still do that but will freeze some.
DB has managed to get the half price table cloths and napkins in his local Wilkos today and will bring those over Wednesday night. In exchange, I'm doing dinner for him and nephew as it's his college night which is local to us. My Mum was delighted with the John Lewis oven mitts I bought in Waitrose too. DS got his weekly pocket money from his Nan too which was 2 x £1 coins - we've done a swap and I've now got £20 to bank - that'll go off the CC once I've paid it in next week. :j
Financials:

Nectar adpoints - I got my numbers wrong yesterday and was at 72 which is the same today
Nectar card value - £22.02 still
Tomorrow's plans.
- NSD
- Delayed flight letter
- Downstairs housework
- More kitchen clear out and clean
- Prep for DS back to school

A little more debt repayment progress to report here!
Just had the quarterly gas and elec bills and the gas DD is being reduced from £76 to £70 per month :j.
For some odd reason, I'd put my eBay fees in my budget as an expense but it goes from Paypal and the money was already there, so having deleted that, there is an extra £3.
I've also got the £20 in £1 coins to bank this week.
Adding that up I've an extra £30 to throw at the CC and I've just gone onto online banking and upped the payment to £355 going out tomorrow. :j
Add on the car payment that goes on the 21st, that will be a total of £499.27 for January and it's only the 5th!
Last day of eBay free insertion fees - will try and get a few bits on there today.Back on the DFW Wagon:

:jOoh and even more money-saving going on :j
The bill for our broadband/phone package has dropped in my inbox. Now having only just renewed the Line Rental and spoken to them last week, I was disappointed to find our bill for the broadband and calls had gone up to £15.15 per month, so another phone call and have managed to get it down to £8.00 a month for 12 months :j
Another £7 I can add to the CC from next month.
They say things come in threes...off to see what I can find. I wonder if I can persuade DS to drop Sky :think:Back on the DFW Wagon:
