LOL at DS!! Bless him
and how lovely finding it now
you've obviously taught him well with his moneysaving ways!
I... just bloody love you. I do. You are far far far too generous for your own good. I owe you a lot of stamps. Or flowers.. Or.. something.xxx
And will still be thinking of you tomorrow. I will probably be awake when you're getting up the way my night is shaping up. Am going to rough it on the sofa to be near Jelly as she keeps waking up and convoluted flat = living room/her bedroom are closer than my bedroom. x

Thanks INOD - I should be in bed by now, but Comic Relief darts have distracted me
Lilty - what a night ahead of you, poor Jelly and poor you with all the clearing up, washing and not good for your back I suspect sleeping (if you get some) on the sofa. Could be it Norovirus?
You're so very welcome ... bank accounts, IFA and YNAB help - you've given much more to so many, honestly :A
DS realises he's missed out on 2 months interest in his 4% account by not finding that £50 at Christmas...savvy boy!
Hopefully I'll check in tomorrow evening with updates on the day and the all important mortgage figuresBack on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -
Excel spreadsheet again for me :rotfl: Used the 'border' tools to define the boxes and main outline then the 'fill' colour for each one I colour in with the new outstanding amount each month (done as a 120 squares to make a 10 year plan even though I'm aiming for 9yr 1 mth out of 13y 9mth original term left as of Jan 14).
Sure I could have done something easier :rotfl: but I didn't want to do one stuck to my fridge
Getting your ownership up will give you the option for better interest rate deals too. :j
Alex - I agree I think they'll be alot more regulation in years to come, but doesn't that lend itself to more people becoming Landlords as the balance of home ownership drops towards long term renting?.
In part, I'm thinking about DS and independent living so not necessarily the traditional BTL. Not totally thought through either, so a very loose plan that won't be formed until I've got the right level of deposit together or I change my plans :rotfl:
My parents believe the majority of people in this country will always see renting as a fairly short term proposition and will aspire to own a home. They have a couple of long term tenants but consider this a bonus and certainly not something which is the norm.
I do understand your reasons for a potential BTL are different from many of the "wannabe landlords".2018 totals:

It could be.. which is why I am miltoning everything in sight. Door handles, right switches. Anything anyone could come into contact with. 2/3 of a bottle down :rotfl:
Yes it will be a rough night on the sofa for my back, but I have 2 hot water bottles, extra layers so the cold does not manage to sneak in.the only thing I daren't do is take any of my meds in case they make me sleep more heavily.
nvm, joys of motherhood, you've been there!!
And... my help is FREExxxxx

Evening folks
A very tired me tonight, but a day reminiscent of my old commuting days with the early start and packed trains at 7.15am  I certainly don't miss it! I slept well last night too with just the Spring part of the 4 seasons duvet, so am hopeful for another good night tonight.
Saw the most lovely consultant and upshot was 5 lots of blood taken for testing there and then, and appointments now being made for a neck scan and electrical tests to see what the nerves are up to and then back to see the Consultant again after those.
He doesn't think it's a neurological disease from how the symptoms are presenting, but is being thorough in checks and tests to eliminate and see what comes from that. So I'll be back there at least twice in the forseeable. Although no answers today, I do feel there's already more progress and more interest in sorting me out.
Was really lovely to have coffee with my cousin afterwards and catch up and spends were restricted to the in-hospital coffee bar.
I made use of my travel card and finally visited Westfield, bought a sandwich and juice for lunch and then found 50p on the train seat on the return journeygetting home before DS who had safely managed to leave the house on time and lock the door behind him.
The mortgage capital payment of £800 went this morning and I found a quiet-ish spot before my hospital appointment to phone the Spanish Bank to confirm/tell them which part to take the payment off. Dedication to the cause
So a new balance of £121,380 split by £24,000 on Part A and now down to £97,380 on the larger part (£12,064 paid off). The mini mile stone this month is reaching 9% paid off and also will be seeing the larger part interest fall below £300 for the month when the letter arrives :j
I've done all my usual financial checks, so am up to date there. Work is a different story, I was fending off phone calls at 8am  and also have a ton of emails to sort first thing tomorrow - good job I kept my morning free.
And of course, diaries to read and catch up on. Hope everyone's week has started wellBack on the DFW Wagon:

I agree with beanie. Sometimes you're beyond caring what the diagnosis is, you just want it to be able to deal with it.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Completely agree - it blights daily life and becomes exhausting battling through it. Until it's under control or sorted, I think I had better enforce regular breaks (school hols ones make sense) as having worked through Feb half term mostly, I'm quietly struggling more and more.
4 weeks to go until the holiday, but don't want to be so knackered I can't enjoy it!Back on the DFW Wagon:

I'm here! Was thinking of you all day. I woke at 5:30am on the dot and had to smile when I saw the clock. I must have heard your alarm...
Fab news about the consultant. I too have one who *does* things on the spot, and makes you feel like you are in capable hands and travelling in the right direction. It is a nice feeling to be able to stop, and take stock, and let someone else do the figuring out and pushing for diagnosis and treatment for once. I sincerely hope that your outcome is very positiveand as others say that you have answers soon.
As for the rest of your day.. wow you made the most of it! Westfield I have travelled past on the HS train countless times and never got any further than that. I am not a good shopper and detest trying things on so it is a bit wasted on me.
Yay for DS, bless him. Isn't it scary when they can do these things? My nephew had 5 friends over this weekend; they ordered takeaway and then spent the night up playing xbox etc. The following day my sister posted a pic of him at 7pm passed out on the sofa, and he looked like a giant. I spent a good 3 minutes wondering where he got his feet alone. He is 12... going on 20! I remember holding him the day he came home from the hospital like it was yesterday...
Well done on the mortgage OP. And the discipline to call them in your busy dayyou will be MF before you know it!!
Hope you get a good nights sleep.. and thank you again for being you, your kindness is incredible. I am honoured to *know* you xx
