The march to financial freedom

Thanks for the pension fees tip, he does actually do a pretty good job for me, and I always get an annual review. I have a frozen pension pot that he's turned from £62k to £78k in 3 years so I can't complain. I just wasn't expecting the bill, he should have warned me
Ali - Jack Savoretti, I was watching the 1 show and this amazing singer suddenly came on, I'd never heard of him before, but I think I'm in love now!
Switching to the COOP energy (on 9th March) has saved me about £20 per month, I didn't think to look for them seperately, I assumed duel would be cheaper!Pay off Car Loan £17,047 £10580 by Christmas 2022

That's good growth in the pension fund Skinny.
:rotfl: Jack Savoretti - yum yum...and his music
Another good saving on the energy move - must sit and sort mine. Am only a couple of weeks away from the gas year end  Electric isn't until May.
Up and down health wise, had another visual migraine Friday and sore throat seems mostly to have gone, though no cold has come out which usually means it's gone straight to sinuses. Long work day today, so taking plenty of off the shelf meds with me just in caseBack on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019

Evening Diary
Got through work without needing any meds - a good result.
P!necone points up for changing to pounds, so £3 on it's way to Paypal - such a long road to getting it into the bank account!
The postman brought my car insurance renewal - an increase of 30% on last year . They can do a run and jump, I'll be on the comparison and cashback sites.
Financials updateL
- bank account checked - mortgage interest payment went out today and Child Benefit came in
- freepostcodelottery checked - an area just a few miles away and £240 but not claimed
- Nectar points - up at £30.70
- Inbox Pounds - up at £6.98
DS had a good first day back at school and we've had a dinner of bangers and mash
I've an admin day tomorrow with lots to do as month end approaches, which usually means I end up reading more on here! Must be more disciplined as if I let anything slip now I'm going to be behind when our holiday and Year End fall. Feel free to kick me up the backside if you see my green light on during the day
Hope everyone's week has started off well.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Evening Diary
Ended up in the office today rather than the planned Admin day at home, so need to make some time now to catch up. Great to be this busy.
Qmee gave me 14p and with the £3 from P!necone also arrived in Paypal, I've moved £3.14 to my current account. I am missing doing the TTs, so decided that the transferred ISA with £10.37 in and a rate of 1.29% tax free should become the TT pot. It is with a different bank though - B@rclays.
But I can't get into it online  This happened when I first transferred it and I went into branch to sort - which turned into making an appointment to sort it - which turned into postal paperwork which was supposed to have sorted it. Ahem, it's not sorted (am locked out ) and I've spent 27 minutes on the phone on hold. I've made cups of tea, folded towels from the tumble dryer, done DS's packed lunch whilst listening to rubbish music. I'd have taken the dogs for a walk if the cordless signal would go that far :rotfl: So looks like another trip to the branch to sort.
Tried to repair the broken home hoover tonight to no avail, so have ordered an Arg0s value one at £39.99 - I'll pick that up tomorrow. I'll still be upset if I break it but not as much as if it had cost a small fortune. And the old one I'll take to the tip en route to do the food shop if I can squeeze that into the daytime opening hours.
It was also my hygienist appointment today and £45 spend on that . Back there in 3 months.
There's another £1.83 confirmed in Qu!dco so shouldn't be long before that makes it way to my current account as well. The small bits adding up to over £15 of free money this month
Think that's all the news today and hope everyone's had a good oneBack on the DFW Wagon:

I'm so pleased your work is going so well, really seems the office was worthwhile.2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
£45 is cheap!! Mine is £54  - reminds me must book it in!!!
Glad things are powering on for youyou say you're lazy... I see it not in a single post
drinking tea, and eating truffles.. is called multitasking in this house
xx

The office has made a big difference, alongside DS being old enough to have a key and let himself in the house on his own, though it's roughly 50/50 who is home first. So whilst my work input was full time hours, the balance of billable work has increased and that's making the positive financial difference. One of those risks that is paying off, but can never become complacent with SE.liltdiddylilt wrote: »£45 is cheap!! Mine is £54  - reminds me must book it in!!!

 That is expensive, thought mine was bad enough. My brain is usually busy, the body less so :rotfl: but got the multi-tasking down to a fine art on that basis :rotfl:
Ooh and I'm rich - ISA has the princely sum of £11.35 not £10.37 in it :rotfl:. I managed to speak to someone on the bank web chat late last night and a new code is being posted out to me. If it's this hard to put money in, no chance of me being able to get it out is there? A good way to save then

Have had £1700 stuck in an account I have no card to for a week now thanks to Jellytot deciding the card wasn't worth having around and *probably* binning it. It is nowhere in the house for sure :rotfl: so yes... I find it a very efficient way to save having no access
You are rich indeed. Drinks are on you tonight!! Still didn't book in my hygienist appointment. Whoops!
Hope work was ok? xx

 at your bank card Lilty, saw you'd requested a new one and hope you get to it before Jellytot does
. Book that appointment!
Cups of tea always on me, so much so my 1,100 catering bag is running low and I'll be hitting C0stc0 on Saturday for a replacement and a huge pot of M@rmite as DS has worked his way through that too.
Work is full on and good, though confess I'm counting down to our holiday - 4 weeks and 2 days away :j
Picked up and paid for the Arg0s hoover today - it's like an adult toy one. Got to screw a couple of bits together, hopefully I won't break it before I get to switch it on :rotfl:
Going to buy the Mirror tomorrow to get the £5 off £40 Aldi! voucher and have delayed the food shop deliberately. I'll stock up on the store cupboard and big dog food bags so not buying anything extra that is perishable or could be wasted.
Also need to buy the train ticket tomorrow for my London hospital appointment on Monday - a very early start catching the 7.10am . So pleased it's here as yet another visual migraine today.
Financials looking good and I've moved half my pay myself amount to personal account to make sure I avoid the £5 account fee. Emergency/savings combined is at £8,534 - not moved up hugely as seem to be alot of spends which started with the replacement washing machine in December and haven't really stopped
