Aggy, nothing to worry about with the radiotherapy machine, you feel nothing and it is only seconds each day and the planning was just one appointment. You get to know the staff really intimately lol !!
Take care

So sorry to hear your news Aggy. My family took a ride on the rollercoaster that is cancer treatment last year. It was not fun at times - althought the OP appointments were a hoot, all the nurses loved it when we went in! But, we all came out of it in the end. 18 months on, mums scars are amazing, she is continuing with reconstruction, most importantly she no longer has cancer. TBH you would never know that she had it - except for when she would flahs her boob at anyone that asked how it looked! Caused quite a stir in Waitrose.
If you want to PM me, feel free.
Chin up - not all days will be good, but it will come to an end.

Aggy,

yes - and it was because results were unclear too. mammogram was redone and it was 'all clear'! the nurse explained that the original mammogram showed a 'fuzzy area', so it was best to re do it. Don't worry - it seemed that quite a few people had had the same result as chatting to the other ladies waiting we were all there for a 're-do'!0

meritaten, you need to read post #18 for the OP's update from the appointment.0 -
I can only apologise Aggypanthus - I missed your post telling us that actually it has turned out to be cancer! I don't know how - scrolling down too quickly perhaps.
I am so sorry that you weren't given the allclear - but, it does sound that it was found quickly and you have the facts. Treatment is brilliant these days - I have known many women who have had breast cancer and survived, due to my work with a cancer charity. I can give you details of the one I worked at who run a 24 hour 'helpline' and they are really good. its staffed mainly by volunteers who have been through it themselves or people affected in the family.
macmillan are also excellent.
once again, I am so sorry because my last post was totally inappropriate, and hope it didn't cause you distress.0
