I think it's completely selfish to park on the pavement at all other than in an emergency. If there isn't room to park then park elsewhere.
Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

Then park in another road. That's what my husband did frequently in our last home.

I'm not sure how seriously the police would take a violation of an act that was created in 1847 (before cars even existed).

Isn't car just an abbreviation of carriage? They existed in 1847.

No it's an abbreviation of the Latin word carrus .

The word carriage is derived from the same word but "car" is not an abbreviation of carriage.

Most terraces appear in rows of terraces. If you're advocating a system where cars can't park on terrace streets where will these hundreds of cars park?

There are not magical car parks that offer free parking for hundreds of residents cars.
  • I have seen on roads around me cars parked with all 4 wheels on the pavement.
