How to fall in love with saving money

I have to say, I got the joke so was surprised at the reply.
Kittie, please tell me it is true. with twins at Uni burning my savings daily I really hope we can bung in savings at a huge rate once they are done. I know the food bill is cheaper when they are gone (but the food money I send them is more than I spend with them at home as they aren't eating with us).
The joke was obviously too clever for me
I never had kids - not something I intended, but it never worked out that way. The advantage is it puts me in a better position to sock away money now. The disadvantage (I guess) is that I'll have to organise my own old age in advance because no one is going to be around to organise it for me when I get there.0 -
Well, with 3 boys I am thinking i might have someone to mow grass (if I have any then) but I can't see them looking 'after me' in a carer's sense.
Guess they'll have to be resigned with me burning their inheritance up in residential care lol.0 -

My 13 year old informs me that he'll put me into a nursing home as soon as he can get away with it :rotfl:
I still hope my 9 yr old will want to build me a granny flat0 -
So...once NatWest sort themselves out, and i am able to log into OLB, i will have exceeded my 1st goal of £600 by the end of this year
:j
I am going to set a 2nd goal of having £1200 in the bank by the time January is over. Eek..that sounds scary. I am sure i could do it, but it'll be tough going!0 -

I didn't quite mean full-time caringI meant in the sense of having someone around (hopefully) who can drop by to make sure you're okay living on your own, or if you're in the residential care system that it is is doing the right thing by you - an advocate if you need one, in other words. Most elderly parents are not looked after by their children full-time.
I should have clarified.

It'll be my husband anyway. His mother made 95, and mine sure didn't lol. So he's got the long lived family.
Yes, I w ould hope i'll have an 'advocate' at least. One of the twins is in Law school0 -

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
