    [STRIKE]Empty all the bins[/STRIKE] It's cheating, but I did this today ;)

    And so it begins...!

The tidying up was essential for this morning as I had to find the paperwork for the boiler service happening today. As a bonus I also managed to find the MOT papers from last year, so now I know when this year's test is due :D

    Morning all,
am in again this week though I may alter lists to suit as we haev a wee house warming on Saturday so it's going to be a busy week doing wee jobs to tidy the place up so it's worth showing off. Keep getting cancellations though so starting to feel a bit 'humph' about the whole thing. My wee nephew is off to the docs today as he came down poorly at the weekend so even he may miss it now.

Weekend was taken up by work (both Friday and Saturday nights) and diy-ing the understairs cupboard but it's now gone from an empty messy space to smooth walls, papered with lining paper, electric meter is boxed in, pine shelves all up and first coat of paint is on and dried overnight. It might be the smallest space in the house but it's also the only bit I'm happy with now haha

Monday - Little bit of everything to start the week
Paint second coat in under stairs cupboard

    Meal plan and shop
    Put kitchen back in order
    Clean worktops/sink
    Clean oven
    Empty TD and clean filter
    Visit PO with hostess packs
    Shop for microwave
    Empty bin
    Hoover and mop floor

Hugs where needed today especially Decco

I need to clean the bathrooms, sort out the top of the sideboard which is a Hotspot. I've got washing to sort & ironing to do. Also some hoovering.

Just catching up with Downton Abbey before I get started.

Hope everyone has a good day

    Love, hugs & spoons xxxx

I'm definitely in this week :j
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Less things. Less stuff. More life.

  • Good morning (although that's questionable - it's pouring down here!) all

Thanks Natty and Dusty for your respective lists and please count me in for this week.

The BDs visited from Wednesday onwards so didn't have the best of weeks, but have woken up this morning after a good night's sleep and a bit more get up and go than previously, so watch out flat (well, sitting room, anyway). Today will be spent switching between dot-to-dotting in the sitting room, getting together 60 4" x 4" crochetted squares which have sold on f-lake, together with finishing 60 6" x 6"s which (touches wood) will do so on Friday. Good luck with the knitting Deco - have you changed your mind about doing a granny square?

Right, back out into that lovely weather (grr!) and hope to post later in the week.

It is hissing down here and the forecast is that this will last at least five days. Laundry will have to wait, then. *sniggers*

Tidying in my ROD office will take all day as I have been shovelling stuff in here again - I never learn. Lovely builder phoned to ask him to quote for fireproofing the party attic walls, boarding out the last two bays and building us 3' deep shelves at either end. We are chronically short of storage and sorting and flinging can only achieve so much.

Last night I finished a crafty-style DIY project and chucked out the fabric remnants that would only have languished unused in the bottom of the scraps boxes for years - nasty polycotton mix scraps that could never have served any useful function. Normally they'd have been put in the attic waiting for a use and then chucked out in a bit sort out, but I'm learning.

On a really, really positive note I've dusted the dining room already. Listy will be done when this lodger goes out to work and before the new lodger arrives and I must stockcheck the freezer to meal plan so I can squeeze the chicken stock and spag bol sauce in.
    Better is good enough.
  • I think I may post as I finish something. May keep me motivated.

I have cleaned the downstairs loo & the upstairs bathroom.

Now to sort the clothes out & iron any that need ironing.

    Weather utterly grim.
