Even if your word was widely adopted, you'd gain no glory or recognition. Think how many new words enter the language all the time...then how many names you know of word inventors?!0

I know it's just a case like it has happened to me in the past where I ask myself (am very inquisitive) I wonder where does that come from?? And look it up. If it was accepted and widely used it would have been good if someone Googled it and found how the word originated.0 -
Words sometimes come into fashion through extended misuse. For example, the opposite of inflammable used to be non-inflammable. Some, however, believed that inflammable was the opposite of flammable (which did not exist) and this could prove disastrous. Now flammable and inflammable mean the same thing, with the opposite being non-inflammable or non-flammable.
I dread the day when Ukraine is universally accepted as 'the Ukraine', as seemingly preferred by most football commentators.0 -
So would this new word also apply to full size roundabouts with only two exits? And how would we then distinguish full size from mini?
Another vote for don't need it, wouldn't use it ...
Why does it matter how many exits there are?Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

One would be a mini junctabout, the other just a junctabout! Obvious really.0 -
Words run together do exist - horrendous for instance - but they do need to trip off the tongue fairly easily to become commonplace.
OP you have made the first step to getting your new word adopted by it making an appearance on the internet. If it does catch on you can refer the OED to this thread.
Most new coinages don't get taken up and just fade away so never get into dictionaries.0 -
*rushes in*
Sorry I'm late, has anybody pointed out that it has 3 exits yet?0 -
I think they did but it went over the OP's head..
although the 'barbie' part of the username would indicate she's blonde and female..................0
