That's a mini-roundabout - they've been around for years, so you'd be hard pressed to get people using your new word.

so its just "Junction" and "roundabout" strung together.
I thought you said it was a unique word lol.

I meant unique as it does not exist per se. It is a combination of two words to specify better this particular type of roundabout. ;)

I know it's called a mini roundabout now, but I think my word is a good way to describe, be more precise, about the type of roundabout, ie one that has only two exits. :)

I would call this a Junctiabout (or junctabout?) A T junction with a roundabout. It does not have exits straight ahead (or multiple exits 3/4/5), just one exit to the left and one exit to the right.

Some people may laugh but it wouldnt be the first time people got laughed at and then be proved wrong.

Anyway I quite like it :p
How is this different to a 3-way mini-roundabout?

Is a 3 way mini roundabout in the dictionary? What is the definition? What does it look like?

Personally I wouldn't use it, it doesn't roll of the tongue well. Too many harsh syllables.

No, that would be like saying 'brown dog' needs to be in the dictionary. It's sufficient that 'dog' is in there.

In the same way, 'mini-roundabout' would be included, but there clearly wouldn't need to be an entry for 3- 4- 5-exit etc mini roundabouts.

    mini-roundabout
    noun
    British
a small traffic roundabout, indicated by road markings or a very low island.

    An image search for 'mini rundabout' will show you plenty of examples with three exits;
    https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=mini+roundabout&safe=off&espv=210&es_sm=122&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=8gJkUueCBqaN0AWxzIGYCw&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1600&bih=799

With regards to your point in general, language is too fluid and natural to force new words and definitions into it. It evolves naturally and at its own pace.

Agreed, mini roundabout is much easier to say.
