I invented a new word!

Hello :-)
hope this is the correct forum section, but here is my question anyway.
I have invented a new word and it would be good if it catches on and it gets included in the Oxford dictionay.
I found this information, that it needs to be commonly used for a few years before is considered for inclusion.
Personal inventions
People often send us words they have made up and ask if we will add their invented terms to one of our dictionaries. Unfortunately, the answer is probably no, because we generally only add words that have been used widely over a number of years: we assess this by looking at all the evidence we have in our files and databases. Of course, some invented words do catch on and become an established part of English, either because they fill a gap or because they are describing something new. Examples of this type of invented word include quark, spoof, and hobbit.
My question is, if I start using it and everybody else does to, do I get any recognition (not financial) for inventing the new word or not? Will it ever be recorded that it was invented by me and how it came about?
Thanks

I doubt it, because it will be impossible to trace unless you're famous and use the word on a tv show or something....0

Unless your word is unique and has no existing synonym, there will be little requirement for it. Many "new" words originate in the media. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

It is a series of random letters that you have assigned a meaning to - unless you can get it into common doofinality then it won't get in the dictionary.0 -
