Once it's unlocked, yes.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -
ok,just that i have heard that phones that are locked to o2 will take a tesc sim but not the other way about0

It will probably be ok.
But why not get it unlocked by o2. They do it free for contracts or £15 payg. Assuming you are the account holder.
It won't get locked again.0 -
I was wondering the exact same... I have an iPhone 4 also, with my contract up this very week. I purchased the phone however via ebay and therefore can not unlock it via O2 - however the phone works very well, and thus I would rather avoid entering into a new contract. Any insight on the best sim only deal that works via O2 would be very much appreciated.
On a separate note, is there another route to unlock an iPhone(4) outwith via the network provider?
Many thanks!0 -

The only way is to try it - nobody can say for definite as there are multiple locks on a phone and it depends how the distributor coded them at the pre-supply stage.
It has nothing to do with the network being used, but the way in which the SIM lock is administered.0 -
No distributor codes iPhones. It's Apple that does and it's the same for all iPhones. And it's a known fact that iPhones locked to O2 work on Tesco and Giffgaff.0
