Car dented by valet!

The smudge on the same spot as the dent just makes me think football i'm afraid.

I think kids mucking about causing the damage whilst the car was unattended on your driveway makes more sense to me as it explains why you didn't see it twice and your parents seen it first time and also explains the lack of damage on the CCTV.

It wasn't a football, or kids messing about. My car is parked as I said in a quiet country lane, we don't get many people walking up it, and the side with the dent was parked next to a wall, with about half a meter in between, hence why I didn't see it as I got home. My parents didn't see it straight away either, they saw it when leaving the house, they weren't home when I arrived home, and when they got back, they, like myself, walked straight past it as it was hidden by the garden wall.

A dirty smudge suggests that it wasnt the car cleaners. Cos they have stuff to CLEAN CARS. A little statement of the obvious there but it seems to have been missed. HTH.

Could have been someone reversing into in the car park, that's hardly an uncommon scenario, especially if it was busy.
