It's ironic how the few bits of the wall of text Prosaver plagiarised that are relevant to this thread actually support what everyone else has been saying rather than him/her.

OP, I hope you haven't been put off by the little argument in here. As has already been said you need to go to the retailer you bought it from. If they refuse to help then you will need to get an independent report stating that the fault was inherent. Without that report it will be assumed that the fault was not inherent because it is more than 6 months since purchase.
Yes I know thats why I copied and paste it...however and independent report can be from anyone who has knowledge of engineering or even a friend who has done research on how long circuit boards last..

    Or even a friend?

That's basically saying anyone can make any old rubbish up!

How long circuit boards last is not relevant if this one died from from external factors rather than from an inherent fault. I doubt a judge would accept a report from a friend who read something once about how long circuit boards should last. A friend isn't exactly independent either.

So you're saying to get your friend to lie about their credentials and their independence?

    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?
