Apcoa parking contravention charge notice

Hi Everyone!
New to this forum.Need some honest help, advice.
The story:
Yesterday went to St. Albans, parked at the railway station car park.
Paid the parking ticket.Happy.
Walked to town, then on the way back found the little yellow surprise stuck to my windscreen.
Opened it up and it says Parking Contravention Charge Notice.
Was proper confused as i paid the ticket and that was clearly visible in the car dash board.
The reason of the fine is NO VALID PERMIT.
Wasnt sure what is that as i have the ticket once again.
Then i noticed that on the ground,on the walkway there is a notice, which says for PERMIT HOLDERS ONLY.
I have to say this is painted on the ground for around 8 meters long, and this was not easily visible from the way i approched this parking bay. There was no signs of this on eye level at all.
I clearly missed to look at the ground.
So it is says a need to pay £75 or in 14 days £50.
I feel this really upsetting and unfair as i had my ticket,i just parked in a bay which is belongs to someone personally i believe.
Would like to know whats my options?
Dont wanna end up dealing with court etc.
Thank you for reading and answering this post.
Best regards.

Well those figures do not offer the 40% discount so it controvenes the bpa cop, still wait until you get the notice to keeper, unless you are not the registered keeper, then make an appeal on unclear signage, the fact you've paid, and other mitigating circumstances. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Who issued the parking ticket? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

APCOA at railways or Airports are easily seen off with a strong appeal (obviously you need to tweak it to remove stuff about Airports, but leave the BYLAWS stuff in):

HTH and let us know if they reject or cancel. Doesn't matter which, you won't end up paying.:)PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Dear Mr .....!
Thank you for your letter of appeal against the Parking Charge Notice issued by us to you on 18/10/2013.
Having carefully considered the evidence provided by you i must advise your appeal has not been successful on this occasion.
The notice was issued to you for being parked in a permit bay without displaying a valid permit or "02 No valid permit"Upon closer inspection of the photographic evidence taken by the attendant we have found that you were parked in a premier parking bay No 8. to be precise.
This bay is reserved for the owner of that bay who pays an annual fee to have the bay resered for them. The road markings directly to the rear of your vehicle clearly states that the space is for permit holders only, the spaces are also numbered and highlighted a different colour to make sure custumers aware that they are premier parking bays.
It is the drivers responsibility to ensure that they are parked correctly at all times while in the car park.We appreciate that you have made a payment for the days parking this however is not sufficient to warrant the cancellation of the above notice.
Taking into consideration the evidence available to us we believe that the notice was correctly issued and still stands as such we must advise you that your appeal has been rejected.
You now have a number of options:
1 Pay the parking charge notice at the discounted price of £50. within 14 days. Please note that after this time it will increase to £75.
2.Make an appeal to POPLA by completing the accompanying form.
Please be advised if you opt the independent arbitration of your case the parking charge will increase to £75.
3.If you choose to do noting .we will seek to recover the monies owed to us via debt recovery procedures and may proceed with Court action against you.
Yours Faithfully
Kelly Denham
APCOA Appeals Department.
So here I am. Any advise what should i do would be welcomed.
One interesting thing that they are clearly saying in the letter that i was parked there which i never said on my appeal letter.
Thanx0 -
sorry for the double..:)0
