    Afternoon - well nearly evening!

    Happy Birthday Ivyleaf!

Took DS2 to work this morning and the usual Aldi and fruit & veg from 'the man'.
Came home and made a cake; sponge with jam and coconut on top. I like making that as it's so easy. DH made homemade pasta and sauce in readiness for tea tonight.

DH was at football this afternoon and I sat and made the first of the sock monkeys. I intend to make lots to give as Xmas presents.
I have decided that when I've done them all I am going to learn to crochet properly. As a child I could do great long worms and that was as far as I got, so I want to be able to make something reasonable useful!

    Enjoy your evening all!

Welcome skitler Are you of the male persuasion?:D Just wondering because of the motorcycle maintenance!

many thanks for your kind welcome to the post. ive read all of them and had a good giggle at some of them. well as posted earlier ive been working on one of my motorbikes, so perhaps that could make me a male, but I also referenced doing house work, so could perhaps be female. using my powers of deduction im going to say that every poster is female on this thread so far, I haven't inferred myself in that as im going to keep my gender a secret as long as I can without being found out which it is.
I found some lovely material to make curtains with while out shopping the other day, then I went out drinking with the boys, we had the right craic.:rotfl::rotfl:

have a lovely evening all. and many thanks once more.
  • Good evening everyone :)

Late visit for me today as it's been a bit of a mad day chasing around for very ungrateful DD. I won't get started on that one! Now need to make dinner, sort out the naughty little pets then eventually sit down.

    Welcome to Skitler :hello:

Happy Birthday to IvyLeaf - I hope you have had a lovely day and have a wonderful evening :bdaycake:

LW - Ruby sounds like a lovely visitor, I hope she makes a return visit to you soon.

OK better get the dinner on so will leave with usual well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for anyone who needs or just wants them. Keep well and safe and have a super evening :)

    Good evening all,

    Welcome Skitler :)
Happy Birthday Ivy leaf-hope its a good one.

It's very nice to see some names posting that havent been on for a while too.

DH has just lit the woodburner,I'm not cold but he is-we've been to football and the heavens opened just as everyone came out and we got soaked so we had to change when we got home.

DGD and I went with DS2 to his house this morning, its nearly ready to move into, and I havent seen it for a couple of weeks. We took the Moses basket,so thats out of my way now,and the 2 bags of food etc to start stocking their kitchen cupboards.Just had a text to say thanks from DiL2b for them and she's thrilled with the basket now its in place .Our friends also turned up for a nosey at the house.

DGD was excited and we played in the garden-the previous owner did lots of wooden painted plaques with Disney characters, dotted all round for his granddaughter, and I found a meerkat family, some owls and hedgehog models hidden in the overgrown garden when I worked on it and had put them where she could see them so she loved that :)

Anyway, takeaway for us tonight and should be here in a mo,so will leave you all with good wishes.

    BBird-hope Tilly is ok x

  • Belated Happy Birthday to ivyleaf hope you had a great day today.
dreadful wet day today so I spent the morning cooking and the afternoon knitting with my feet up.
Eldest DD texted me to say she has got me an Ipod ?? apparently it will be useful when she and her OH are in the US on holiday at the end of next week.More gadgets to get used to I expect it won't be too hard to sort out.I'm not great with technology though so she will have to show me tomorrow how it works. gadgets are great but its finding the time to use the blessed things.:):):) Oh well I'll see how I get on with it.
Now I'm off to bed to do something quite old fashioned :):) read my book I'm wading through Wolf Hall at the moment
    Cheers chums
