    Hi Guys,
Guess what? OH gave me a bath this morning:T I went up on my stairlift, used my zimmer, then the bathlift. He covered my leg with a black bag and tape, and I had a lovely bath and hair wash.:j

Hoping to go to the Hastings Bonfire tonight, as long as it's not raining.

:bdaycake: Ivyleaf have a great day!

Morning all, bit grey and gloomy here.

Just made cream crackers for the first time, not bad, whilst I had my baking mojo around I made Parkin, ginger biscuits and a raisin loaf, will take some to the caravan show tomorrow to keep costs down a bit.

Hugs to all those that need them and welcome to new members, it's great here.

Have gone through all my craft books with the bits of paper in to remind me what to make and made a list of what I need to actually make the things. Will be having a blue Peter week next week I think ...
    Happy weekend all

    Afternoon All,

Ivyleaf - Happy Birthday :bdaycake: Welcome to the 60 Club! (I joined 4 weeks ago). Hope you have a fab day.
Judi - were there no pink cars? Is his motto "I used to be decisive but I'm not so sure now." :rotfl: :rotfl:

Had a lovely evening with DGS (he stayed over) playing games and reading. His dad collected him this morning to take him to a birthday party - he flew out the door and was standing by the car door to get in. Normally it is a mini fight to get him dressed and out.

Taking my FIL out this afternoon for a few  (such a sacrifice!) and you are all welcome to come along.

I am wearing my new cardigan - pure new wool and greyish pink. I like it as it is warm, comfortable and easy to get on and off. Fashionable it is not. I'll probably have to hide it when DD comes home next week. A while back there was a thread about cardigans in general, and beige ones in particular, being a sign of defeat in life. I realised that I should give up all hope and stay indoors when I realised that I own at least 4 :o
Oh dear, that doesn't hold out too much hope for me - I have several cardigans, and plans to make another one, as well.:D They're more practical than jumpers for me, as I quite literally cannot put a jumper on or off without Mr LW's assistance, but on a good day I can manage a cardigan without help. (On a bad day I have to use a shawl or stay cold). My favourite is a very vivid shade of yellow, and has pockets; I made it myself, and the one I'm planning to make when I've done the waistcoat I'm currently working on will be done using the same pattern.:o

Ruby's had a little trundle out - she likes walkies, just can't walk very far because of her arthritis. She's such a sweet-natured girl, and so easy to look after. :o

    Afternoon all,

Took my non-driving sister shopping this morning. It means she can get to some shops that are not too easy to get to on the bus and she can bulk buy. Of course I ended up buying stuff as well, some Chrimbo bits and I ordered my christmas meat hamper from a local butcher. We ate the last joint from last year's hamper from the freezer in August and it was delish! :D

I've put some shallots to soak in brine until tomorrow when they will be pickled in sherry vinegar, another prep for Christmas. :)

We called in to the Welsh National Food Centre on the way home, it is lovely, lots of artisan breads baked on the premises, cheeses, meats and pickles etc. I got half a cranberry topped pork pie to have tonight, along with some smoked trout to go with a crab and prawn cocktail and avocado salad I fancy.

Took some clothes and books to charity shop yesterday with more to sort out tomottow but Fre and Ginger on BBC2 so once lap top is switched off I'll crossword, sudoku and crochet for rest of the afternoon. Bliss :p

Have a good one all, xxx

Happy Birthday Ivyleaf - Hope you're having a great day and thoroughly enjoy the show.

My DS2 is away for 6 months to begin with, has to come home for a wedding in April and then may go again if he has enough money! There are 4 of them going to Thailand, Laos, Burma, Vietnam, Cambodia and any other places in Asia they fancy. Lucky them is all I can say!

Just home from taking said DS to the station, had a look at a couple of shops on the way home but couldn't really be bothered.

The weather was quite nice in Glasgow but it's pouring down here now. Take care. XX

    Hi all,

Been reading, not posting, love n hugs to all that need them x

Have been OS,ing to the max as OH has been working on our home, as he is SE, that means no earnings.....

It appears that DD is finally growing up, typical self absorbed teen, wants this, needs that etc. ended up having a bit of a flounce at her, and basically told her that as she can,t find a job (been trying, no sucess yet) she will have to look for other ways to earn a few pennies - suggested ebay, but apparently that was far beneath her .I stuck to my guns, and apart from essentials (bus fare for college etc) have given her nothing. Well she listed 8 litems on ebay last weekend, and they have just closed - madam is now £170 better off  minus fee,s - she was truely gobsmacked and is now in the process of stripping her room of anything she doesn,t want ready for ebay

We have been very good money wise and from last years £100+ per week, have halved that to £50 pw, been buying ys and hp offers where possible, up and out shopping by 7 this morning Mr L had hp mince, so off we went to stock up.

We have a halloween party every year, and I cook enough to feed an army - friends have been told that this year, we are happy to host, but everyone has been asked to contribute something, no matter how small - so we have had offers of booze, food and fireworks - bless ,em - chilli, jacket spuds, cheese and HM brownies are on the menu this year, rather than the £200 luxury meat n nibbles fest plus booze normally offered.

Only one friend,s attitude was dissapointing, but he,s a tightar&e anyway, would turn up to the opening of an envelope if there was free booze - I smiled and stated that he may wish to attend another function if ours was not good enough - friend status is under review.....:D

Anyhoooo thats enough of me chunterring on.

Have a fab weekend all x
