I have just found that the Home Office has ultimate responsibility for ANPR and CCTV under the POFA 2012 - A new code of practice has been initiated which makes very interesting reading and requires constant checks to ensure that users are compliant and used for lawful purposes.

The new code only applies to the use of APNR & CCTV by relevant state authorities as defined by S 33(5)(k) POFA 2012, and not to the private sector.

(It is important to remember that schedule 4 was snuck into an Act that otherwise doesn't have anything much to do with parking)

No because they use the services of Ranger I believe, the same as a number of insignificant AOS members maybe like Combined Parking ;)

Not entirely convinced of this. If you look at the POPLA annual report it states:

Ranger on behalf of CP Plus 30
Ranger on behalf of Highview 14
Ranger Services on behalf of Spring Parking 1
Ranger Services on behalf of Total Parking Solutions 4
Ranger Services on behalf of UK Parking Control 13

There are no 'Ranger on behalf of Smart Parking' entries.

Also, if you look at the POPLA evidence packs for CP Plus, Highview, etc, they have a 'Ranger' look and feel to them and are much the same.

The POPLA evidence packs from Smart Parking are completely different.

SIP aren't on the list? Where do they get info from? If not directly is it all valid? - but they issued 105 small claims.

btw - are there any stats of those issued what happens to them ?

Any missing parking companies will be serviced by these, why do you think DCAs are in the AOS ? These lot below have an income stream selling details on

    Compex Development & Marketing 270,658
    Ranger Services 259,653
    Roxburghe UK Ltd 77,158
    Debt Recovery Plus 40,622
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

As with previous lists there are two large 'proper' PPCs (i.e. not small fry ex-clampers) missing from that list NCP & Vinci. I know for a fact that NCP have an EDI link so why don't their requests appear? Presumably it's like all these FOI requests that it depends on the exact question that was asked.

The only way then is to ask about each company individually, IMO it's not worth the effort. And certain companies were missing last time as well. It was asked for aos members from the current list.
