Just wondering where a good place to get pods from is? I got my machine on the £30 offer and ran out of pods, now buying from Supermarket but they work out expensive!

I am going to get one for my parents but as I stay in the Highlands I will need to get it delivered to them. Does it come in a plain box as I would like it to be a surprise

    Thanks

Mine came in a tassimo box within a plain box...

I restocked from the Tassimo web site. Also bought some from Amazon (Suchards) but they were the same price as the Tassimo site when I checked.

    thinking about grabbing one.

Quick question are the drinks nice and boiling hot just like you would get from say a kettle or normal costa cafe. Or more warm/hot from like a drip coffee system.

Only reason I ask is I prefer nice hot coffee (also drinking choc). Yes I know its a strange question :).

But don't want to waste £50 on something I will not like (we are all moneysavers afterall) :)

Great opportunity to get your hands on a brilliant coffee machine at a great price!

£45 and you only have to pay £5 for delivery.

Also get £20 free credit to spend on tassimo T-Disks when you register your machine! So technically you're getting a machine worth around £100 for £25!

    https://tassimocostapromo.co.uk/

    Offer ends 9th November 2013.

This is the machine you are buying:

Thank you so much - I almost bought this exact model for £119 a few weeks back

I'd say the drinks I've made so far (Costa Cappuccino & Latte) have not come out piping hot but they were hot enough for me. Looking around the internet I have seen quite a few people say that the drinks weren't hot enough for them so I guess it may be an issue for some people though - perhaps you should try one out before buying if poss.

Someone on HUKD recommended running the service disc to warm the cup for a few mins (with plain hot water) before making a drink but I haven't really felt the need to do this.

My T discs arrived and they've sent the wrong latte macchiato. Top marks to the Tassimo careline though, no quibbles, they're sending the correct item and I can keep the others. Bonus :T

Amazon are good if there's no offers on in other places - it's a good idea to regularly go on the Tassimo uk facebook page- they often have £10 off codes. There's sometimes offers on at Sainsburys or Mr T's, but not that often.
  • Am i being thick? I dont get this - if i want a latte (for example!) then how does this work? Do you literally just pop the pod thingy in machine and press the button then the drink comes out ready to drink??? Or do u still need to heat milk etc and add it?!!? Confused :A
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

I was equally confused when I first got my machine. Basically, every pod has a bar code that the machine reads and prepares the drink accordingly, heating up the water or milk. For latte - you do it twice; first put the coffee pod in and then when that's finished, put a milk pod in. Personally, I find the latte's rather expensive as in a box you get 8 coffee and 8 milk. I buy americano and just heat a bit of skimmed milk in the microwave, then blast it with my bamix. You could just add milk though.
