Thanks for the replies, I think that is the reason I have been hit with 18%. I price hike after the one I took outlast year. I guess thats the pitfall of going to a fixed term, you end up paying a huge amount when it runs out. I notice they are (BG) doing a fixed deal to March 2016 which means three winters at the fixed price, problem is when its finished the hike would be I guess huge, but you save for that time so it's swings and roundabouts...

Cardew, quick answer..No as far as I see they are at best economical with the truth at worst they are dishonest.

To be honest I am a member of many forums and I have never had a problem before but the bashing I have taken by many here is nothing short of disgraceful. I thank those who bothered to give me help and suggestions those that were petty and downright unpleasant I hope one day they receive the same schoolboy attitudes...

You stated price had gone up 18%, when you clearly weren't comparing apples with apples. You also did it in a sensationalist threadline grabbing manner.

People called you out on it, deal with it.
