Wipe with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt.
Sling in the oven on 220 for an hour.
Test with a skewer that your spud is cooked, then remove, cut in half, scoop out the flesh and mash in a bowl, crack in a raw egg, a grind of pepper, couple of grinds of salt, half a handful of grated cheddar, a tablespoon of lightly fried chopped onion, and mix well.
Pop the mixture back into the shells, sprinkle with more cheese and pop under the grill.
I have been known to add butter, and /or chopped cooked bacon too.
THIS! Nomnomnom.
I think you can tell how much we all want things back to normal based on the amount of potato discussion :rotfl:
Did anyone else used to have fried mash? My mum used to do it as a treat for me when I was little as I didn't like normal mashDebt free 6th December 2014

I once got a call from my sister to say my eldest had text her...at 9:30pm ...baring in mind she had been in bed since 8:30...the phone was taken off her at 6pm and returned the next day after school...sentence served for one month strict...never happened since. A lot of our family say Im too strict on my girls but I see it more as strong foundations. They dont swear, they use their Ps and Qs, they always have their homework done (with more set by me which they actually love), eat as a family nearly every night and are in bed on time every night. Yet my neices stay up until they fall asleep, refuse to eat dinner, slap their mums etc...yet still Im the over baring parent...Ya know what, Im proud of who my kids are...
Dont know why Im baring my soul so much tonight but there ya go lol....
Bradley, it is lovely to read about proper parenting. It takes me back 10 years, sadly mine are now big and hairy!
Too many people have kids without realising it is hard work to parent properly, then complain when the child does not conform to their expectations.:p:p:p
