    today we wrap it in foil throw in the log fire come back couple of hours later chip at the charcoal to get the fluffy middle and add a nob of butter,:rotfl:

    guess who had a power cut again and :rotfl:

    !!!!! potato, put on a microwaveable plate and cover with clingfilm...bang in the micro for 8 mins and then poke a knife in it...if it soft its good, otherwise a little more...then i like to chuck it in the over to get the crispy skin too...best of both worlds...

    P r i c k with fork, 5 mins in micro then 35-45min in oven....

    In that case if you leave them uncovered sprinkle salt around them on a baking tray as it will draw the moisture from the skin and make them crispier....yum yum

    If you wrap them in foil (no need to) put salt inside the wrapping.

    Now I can answer this !!!!! it all over with a fork . Put in combi oven and press jacket potato. I normally set weight to 500 then press start . When oven pings you got a lovely soft jacket potato ;)

    Oven if you have the time
    Microwave if you don't
    Microwave then oven if you have some time!

    Then fill with butter!
