It doesn't make any difference. The price file is locked in at the time the shop is made, not when the APG is entered. I'm also fairly sure the month is from the date of the shop, not the date APG is generated?
But you need to lock it in by putting the details in, as there has been instances of people loosing APG's when they have not 'locked' them I believe.

How did you manage to directly link it? The others I've voted for, I've had to search for them. Not that I'm moaning about it :o but a direct link is far easier to vote on :)

Hi tweets, I had the page open on my I pad and in the top right hand corner I clicked the share button and then copy link and pasted it here.

    Hth xx
And huge thank you to anyone who had time to vote for me xx

Once again, IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE! The APG looks up the relevant price file from the time of the shop, glitches and all. Think about it, if they looked up the price when entered, even though it was weeks later, it would be totally wrong!

There have been occasions when the time entered has made a difference. It hasn't happened often, but it has happened

First they expect me to shop there and now the barstewards want me to train their staff for free:)

I had to teach a SA how to add cc pts on the other day at an express
I thought everybody knew?!?! :D afterwards the SA said that was quick and easy. I was so tempted to say, yeah like how last night was or that's what she said ;):p

Quick Question, or not. I need to get car insurance for a single woman, 50 any links please?

I'm still hunting for car insurance too. I've had to go back and start all my quotes again because I've apparently been lying to insurance companies for 10 years! I've always assumed our car (which was bought second hand from the Peugeot dealer) was factory fitted with full body kit and alloys but apparently it isn't and I should have been putting down that it was modified. I went through TCB though and got £1.68 for a quote through confused.com and £1.83 from gocompare.com.

I'm not sure about this. I think the OP is more right. The prices may relate to the date of the shop (not necessarily time, although prices are updated throughout the day and you may end up with the last update of the night of your shop if you don't enter before it updates). However, if an item disappears off both a.com and msm (msl?) between doing your shop and entering it into the APG, it may be that that could cause your shop to fail. I've had this happen once, where a SP item I was using as a filler against W (don't worry, this was months ago, before the Snakes glitch!:D) wasn't on a.com and msm anymore when I came back - three hours later, I entered the receipt and it said not enough items:eek::o.

It was there when I compiled the shop immediately before going out to A. It's possible it disappeared with an update just before I actually checked out the shop in-store (I couldn't check that as I was incommunicado in store) but I reckon the disappearance by the time I entered the receipt caused it. So a message to those who just do pure 8-item shops:rotfl::rotfl:, to beware.:rotfl:

It may be the price file at the time (date?) of your shop applies. But it's not conclusive - sometimes it seems to be when you shop, sometimes when you enter the receipt, albeit if you enter the shop on a later date, it will (should?) be the prices that applied on the date of your shop that are taken*. (Things complicate even more with Morries comps, and updates of data between the time of the collection and the update vis a vis when you shopped. E.g. a Monday morning shop checked Monday morning, before update, may get last week's prices, but Monday morning shopping checked on Wednesday (after the Monday collection has been put into the system), may get this week's data???)

*But I've had shops in the past that seem to have contradicted this. I've had items showing OOS that have compared when I've entered the receipt early. But, if I waited a week and then entered a shop (for the first time), I've had it showing full price for the rival, instead of the half price that was on msm.co.uk but marked OOS at the time of the shop, or, same situation on another shop, had it return N/A when entered days later than the shopping was done. I've also done Morries comps, that I've entered three weeks later, the data returned has been the Morries price of the date of the shop, not the date of the checking (so, to an extent, you are right, but it's not conclusive - things can and do disappear off msm. I suspect 'glitch' shops done today, but not entered till much later, might well return without the glitches if the system has been corrected in the meantime, e.g. by subsequent scans of the home-shopping websites which may cause the item to be no longer registered and the data, for the date of your shop, but that data as it stood at the time the receipt was first entered into the APG site).
