I noticed a couple of people recommended kiddicare.com...I went & had a browse last night & they have some good prices on cots/cot beds that come complete with the bedding..mattress,bumper, blanket/quilt etc. There were two cots and one cot bed I think & they all seemed to be about 1/2 the RRP...might be good for people who aren't fussy about having all the bedding matching the wallpaper & curtains...0

again..a little prematurely, but i have been looking at the baby stuff in ikea..some real bargains! like a cot for £20..baby bath for £2 etc..i'm just a little concerned that they will be safe at such a low price..has anyone used them?Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0

Be careful with kiddicare, their customer sevice is none existent if you have a problem. They can only be reached by premium rate phonecall, e-mail or snail mail. Ask at your local independant baby store, mine price matched for me even though they don't advertise the fact.
I bought tons of maternity wear as I couldn't get away with normal clothes in a larger size.
A bellybelt may be a good idea for making clothes last longer but this will only work if your belly is the only thing to grow.0 -

I've heard from friends that Ikea stuff is great, there isn't one local to me so I have no experience of them personally.0 -

We had IKEA changing station, highchair, cot, bedding, potty, bath etc, etc and give them all the thumbs up - why pay over the odds when there are such bargains around?0 -
Oh, and the extendable bed can be recommended - in fact the whole lot is up in our loft. Its a real shame that IKEA don't do pushchairs either!!0

Jay-Jay wrote:Can't find who said that they're leaking loads but to whoever it is, have you tried Lansinoh breast pads?
It was moiand I'm not leaking anymore
but did when was bf and yes, that's the ones I used. They're expensive but certainly worth it.
Jay-Jay wrote:I was leaking up aound 60mls of milk per breast during feeds and used breast shells (plastic cups that fit over your nipple) as pads couldn't cope but the Lansinoh ones were excellent if I didn't have my shells.
I was under the impression that the shells stimulate the nipples even more, therefore making you leak even more? That's why I never used them... I might be wrong though...
It's nice to meet a fellow 'leaker' anyway... I certainly felt a bit of a freak at times, and oh the embarrassing stories I could tell0 -

I was told by my midwife that these are only to be used to support the weight of the abdomen in later pregnancy,if needed, and that they're not supposed to be used to keep your tummy flatter because that would put too much pressure on the bump... but maybe I'm confusing a belly belt with something else?0 -

You are confusing the belly belt with something else, not sure what the technical term is but that supports a big, heavy bump. The one I'm talking about extends the wear of your clothes see this link for details of what I am talking about http://www.bumpsmaternity.com/item.php?prod_code=YBBK000026&t_code=26&d_code=40
