    Evening all,

I'm so sorry ive not been able to catch up with your news ive been so busy. However I see two babies have been born so congratulations to the families.

    My news in a nutshell.

Came back home from North Devon on Sunday. The house was a bit of a tip. In the 12 days we were away, the cooker and the microwave was used daily and hadn't been cleaned after use. The cooker had also been used daily to cook bacon sausage and egg sandwiches and that hadn't been cleaned either. Although I expected a certain amount of floor mess I wasn't expecting a trail of mud trodden throughout the house. 'Youngest' had a couple of friends round apparently. One of them stayed over and used the duvet off my bed. I was fuming to say the least. Not the fact he'd had his friend stay over, it was the fact he didn't tell me till we'd used it ourselves. I told him he should have used our duvet himself and gave his mate his. He thinks i'm being paranoid as his mate is clean (I have no doubt of that but that's beside the point) but he's had an earful anyway. Despite phoning him the Sunday evenings we were away to remind him to take the rubbish up for the bin men. He 'forgot' so ive got 3 weeks of wet rubbish sitting outside the side of the house. Hubby isn't impressed either cause he's got to take it to the refuse centre. The bathroom was a state too.

I certainly didn't expect to come back from holiday and have to start cleaning the house. I was so livid.... and ive told him I am too.

Yesterday my daughter needed me to have Grandbaby as she needed a break. He's a joy no mistake but I really ought to have said no. I'd got too much to do.

She needed me to have him again today as she needed to take the car in the garage and didn't know how long they would have the car.... They said between 1 and 3 hours. As it was they have had it overnight. I'm having him again Friday as she has a dentist appointment. She happened to mention that my Instagram was 'open' and not set to private. That was nice of her.... she now thinks i'm too old for such technology:D

Hubbys 50th birthday today. Although we don't usually send cards I made an exception as its a special birthday. I bought him a wallet too as his is falling apart.

Tea is cooking, its a bit late but if 'Youngest' dares to ask what time tea is done he's going to get his head bitten off and hubby is asleep.

Right, i'd best get on with things or i'll never get finished.

    Good evening all,

    Evening all!
What a miserable day it's been, heating is on and I'm just about to get the jammies on, got my hair cut this afternoon, and I'm itchy all over.
Have made 2 lots of soup this evening, portioned up and cooling for the fridge and freezer, they will do for me and DD taking to work, I've got 2 short days tomorrow and Saturday, then next week have 2x 12.5 hour shifts:eek:, that will be a shock to the system after all this time!
    RIP Iain

I'm in the Gillingham area. I had a google and realised the Saxon Shore way goes from Gravesend to Hastings!

Not that far from me I'm in Rainham so the country park is only five minutes by car down the road.Lovely place to walk in if the weather is nice, but today I gave it a miss and did my ironing instead :):)
Tomorrow I have three of the boys all day as the local senior schools are on strike but the juniors aren't so Mikey who goes to St margarets is more than a bit miffed as he has to go to school and his older brothers don't.Oh dear I think I'll have to find a treat for him when he comes out of school tomorrow.
Blooming chilly at the moment and I have put the CH on for an hour to take the chill off.
Just going to have bubble and squeak and a poached egg for dinner tonight I fancy a bit of comfort food for once :)
    Have a good evening everyone
