Hello everyone, I hope you are doing ok.

I haven't posted for ages, what with preparing to go on holiday, going away for 24 days (which was amazing) and then sorting myself out when I got back, I haven't old styled very much at all.

However, all is back to normal now, so I will try to post a bit more often.

I've started the eBaying again, as I'm still got so e things left to declutter. My friend is going to drop off some of her things that I will eBay on her behalf. Also, as an experiment I bought a job lot of old postcards, and I'm reselling the most interesting ones on an individual basis - I'm now in profit on that endeavour, so that's encouraging. The money is earn from eBay is very useful - I bought about 5 random things I needed from eBay on Sunday, just using money in PayPal, so it's all good.

I've started a little challenge. Mr Goldie and I are both in receipt of a pension. We are going to see if we can live on a day to day basis, if the pension was our only income. Mr Goldie is 65 in three years time, but we would like to stop work sooner than that. I've made adjustments to the budget, to take into account the petrol we currently use for work, and the fact we currently have two cars, rather than just the one we need after we retire, but it will be an interesting little challenge.

Anyway, must press on. I've got some clothes to pull out of my wardrobe, for eBaying. They are in my 'cruise clothes' wardrobe. If I didn't pack them for 24 nights, I'm not going to wear them again!

I'll be taking my friend out for tea when she finishes work,as a thank you for looking after my house while we were away. Not sure how that fits in with my retirement budget, but at least I have vouchers for coffee from M&S !

    Have a good day, all

Hubby's been fed and dropped at work, fish fed. I've made a banana, apricot and hazelnut loaf to take to work for my colleagues, I also need to take a bacon sarnie to work with me for hubby.
Congratulations to Julie, good luck and fingers crossed for TTFM.
Hugs to Molly, Hilly & Bemuzed.
    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all,

Again thanks so much for all your good wishes yesterday, it was a hard day and it really takes it out of you, the funeral is 2 weeks away so a long wait now, but we have loads to be doing to keep us busy.

DD and I are doing the order of service mostly because we wanted to do it, but also because they wanted to charge £95 for 20 copies  its something we can easily do at home and its therapeutic for us too.

Today I think we have to go and clear dads room with will be difficult again but needs to be done.

Have got a wash on and will go and rummage in the freezer for dinner.

Julie, she is a little cracker, congrats again xx

    TTFTM good luck xx

TTFTM good luck for the interview.
Julie she is lovely, found out last night an old colleague who emigrated to Australia became a granddad too, of another lovely girl!
Redruby-hugs my love, take it easy, the hard jobs will be mixed up in the memories!
Not sure what to get up to today, might pop to town for some crimbo things, will need to check the bank balance first as I have been on half pay!
Need to make a chicken, ham and leek pie for dinner and find some veggies to go with it.
    Have a good day all.
    RIP Iain

    Morning!

Redruby - I think the wait is the worst part, sending you a (((big hug))) to help keep you going.

Julie - Congratulations, it must be so hard with the new one so far away.

    TTFTM - Good Luck!

JackieO - Did you know the Dobbies card is £4 using Tesco clubcard rewards? Love Dobbies :)

So I have been good this morning, house dusted, hoovered and floors washed. Towels hung out on the line. The sun is shining so they should dry, fingers crossed. In for more rain tomorrow.

I've taken some turkey bits out of the freezer so may make a curry for dinner.

    Have a good day all...

Jools, congratulations, she is a beauty xxx

TTFTM, good luck today lovely x

    ((((Red ruby))) xxx

I am EXHAUSTED. I couldn't sleep the night before last & then ds2 woke up & I brought him in with me as he wouldn't settle. I then couldn't sleep as thought he might fall out of bed.
Then last night I couldn't sleep either. I struggle to sleep when Mr Harket isn't here. He's back tomorrow.

I am trying to resist the urge to wrap myself up in this blanket & sleep on the sofa.

Not much planned for today tbh.

Pasta for tea. I have ready made tomato sauce :o

Got some bedding in the machine to hang up in a no when it's finished. Will Hoover & dust through upstairs.

Must. Not. Sleep. On. The. Sofa.

    Have a good day all

    Love, hugs & spoons

    xxx

I know that not sleeping thing so well, I was still awake at the back of 4am this morning. Must have drifted off. OH woke me getting up just after 8am, I will force myself to stay awake today, no napping on the settee when OH has his siesta. Think I will !!!! myself in the sewing room, that should keep me awake.

It was sunny first thing, washing out, then it went very dull and overcast, sun breaking through again just now.

Hi all. As Granny Weatherwax would say, "I aiten't dead" I just haven't had anything interesting to report, and OS has been a tad scanty due to health issues (again).

Tru I'm so glad Timmy's problem was just a leaky water bottle.:o

OS-wise, I made a pasta bake yesterday which will do tonight as well, as Mr LW's on late shift today; I've also done some Yule supplies - HM mincemeat, and four puddings. Those should last us all winter, as there's a total of 32 helpings, and only the 2 of us to eat them.;) Once again I'm not bothering to do a cake - it's just not worth the faff, with only 2 of us; Mr LW concurs, as I told him I'd make one if he really wanted me to. He said to save my spoons for other things. *Waves to Hester* :D

I made my labels for the mincemeat jars, and my ancient XP pc was running s....o s...l...o...w...l...y so we decided to see if the label software (which is dated 2004) would run on Windows 7, on the laptop, and luckily it does.:T So when the XP machine finally turns up its toes (it's 11 years old) we'll still be able to do labels.:T

I've read the thread, but not a lot is sticking, so (((HUGS))) and healing vibes everywhere they're needed.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
