    I do and always have, because I'm lazy and just look at the bottom line. :) I agree that technically it's the pre-tax total that the tip would normally be based on...but again, lazy.

    I also agree that tipping 15% for poor service isn't the best idea...if the food is bad but the service is good I would not penalize the server though.
    Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
