HTB: "Well timed and targeted" says ITEM, "little risk of bubble"

  • Give it up Graham....

You don't like what they're saying so you attack the source. You do it every time.

It's very clear you don't like the increasing praise from more sources coming out for HTB.

Almost as much as you dislike the clear positive effect that restoring functionality to dysfunctional lending markets is having on the wider economy.

    Heh heh.....

Ernst and Young ITEM Club, very highly regarded economic forecasters and analysts, pretty much demolishing all the arguments the doom-mongers have been spouting over HTB.

The tide is very much turning.....

This (see link - two thirds said 'bad', I doubt more than a smidgen said 'good') is from all of two days ago. There have been so many dozens of really credible anti htb viewpoints published that anyone half sensible stopped posting them weeks ago. And yet here you are, spewing out the usual drivel, trying to pass off your dubious summary of a dubious torygraph summary of a single source as some kind of majority view.

The one hilarious thing is describing htb as "well targeted". It's totally indiscriminate carpet bombing, hence no less available in Kensington as it is Kirklees. I suppose that pwoperdee generally must count as good targeting.

  • Does it really annoy you that you and all your little hpc mates have been so catastrophically wrong, piglet? :)

    Good.

    Good.

Am I annoyed that house prices aren't lower - yes of course I am.

Question for you - is your OP here an example of mindless drivel or not?

And when HPI reaches double digits in the very near future, how annoyed will you be then?

I do hope you'll come back and lash out in frustration at those of us who called it right some more.

    Most gratifying....;)

Whether it is or isn't, the last person on earth qualified to decide that would be a frustrated crashaholic like yourself.

You've been outwitted by Sibley for heavens sake.

    That has to hurt....:D

Your thread states that it won't cause a boom, therefore everyone else was wrong.

You then come along on your own thread, suggesting double digit HPI will be reached.

What exactly are you trying to say here, as you appear to be saying two different things and claiming you are right in both instances.

Actually, the thread states it won't cause a "bubble".

And low double digit HPI for a few years wouldn't be a bubble.

Just the early stages of a long overdue recovery.

In the early stages of the last boom we had several years of annual HPI somewhere between 20% and 30%, and even that didn't lead to a bubble.

10% shows a lack of ambition if you ask me....
