Kongs only get their strength when they are full, if they are empty then they are easily chewable.

I would suggest against a nylabone as I have heard reports that if bits come off they swallow them and then they form a big lump in dogs tummys.

Antler bones are controversial as some people say they cause teeth damage, but Dobby loves his, and I am happy with him having it. Never hold it, let them chew on their own.

I've previously typed on this forum, about a sturdy squeaky dog ball. It is a Bob Martin "Cool Dude." After a few days, my dog pushed the sturdy squeaker inside and as it had only cost me £1 from Home Bargains, I gave him a new one. We kept an eye on the toy and when the squeak worked loose, hubby pulled it out, and superglued it back in. My dog (who usually destroys a toy within 10 minutes) still plays with the ball everyday, it still squeaks, and it's lasted since June!!!

Sadly Home Bargains no longer sell them, but I would have no hesitation at paying full price for one.
