:rotfl: at the loo roll comments
Had a lovely dinner tonight for bessie mates birthday and her Mum paid for it all. Just as well as mate needs me as her +1 for a party on Saturday night so I can use the meal money for that. I had chicken curry and boiled rice and a few crackers but no starter or pudding. Not perfect but not too bad.
Dawny Ingredients are :
1 can of mixed bean salad
1 can green lentils
2 cans chopped toms
1 can baked beans
handful split lentils
2 large leeks
2 large onions
4 medium carrots
2 parsnips
3 peppers- variety of
2 beef stock cubes
salt and pepper
mixed herbs
water ( enough to cover)
Chop all veg roughly and add all ingredients to a pan
Bring to boil and simmer until all veg is soft
Leave chunky or blend and can also be frozen.
I'm making this tomorrow and also a large 2lb batch of mince. We will have mince and potatoes tomorrow night and I will try and get 3 cottage pies from it as well. I'll pad it out with some carrots and onions. Yum yum
DD started her new pub job tonight and loved it so I am happy about that.

INOD I hope it's tasty. I tried the egg and hot dog diet once. Only problem was I have always hated hot dogs so I just ate eggs. I lost loads of weight but eew!!
Well I have had an eventful day. I called for a docs appointment as I thought I had a bit of a chest infection again. My chest was thankfully clear but GP could hear a possible pleural burr in my right lung. Apparently this can be a sign of a clot. So I was sent straight to the hospital and spent the next 5 hours being xrayed, bloods taken, obs being done every hour etc etc Not much fun. They tested me for heart attack, blood clots, legionnaires disease, some other bug you can pick up abroad and infections. Turns out I have a urine infection. I actually feel ok , just a bit tired but obviously with my kidney trouble I need to be careful about urine infections. I am now home with yet more antibiotics. The chest pains they reckon are more viral than anything . So a complete MOT for me today. Feel a bit guilty taking up their time but at least I know all is well and I can happily get my op.
This did all result in NSD. NST as well and angelic on diet plan.
Didn't have anything to eat prior to going to docs and ended up getting no lunch until 2.30 pm. I had a huge salad with some new potatoes. I have made a huge pot of mince with carrots and onions so I will make some nice baby potatoes and also some mash. DS and I will have mince and tatties for dinner and DD wants a cottage pie for tomorrow night as she will be in a hurry to get to work as she starts at 6 in pub. I will try and get a large cottage pie and at least 1 other small one from the mince. I will be happy with that. That would be 8 portions from 2lbs mince.
Not much achieved today unfortunately. It is cold and wet here and I am going to have to put on the heating :eek:5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Ali we are promised sunshine tomorrow but we'll see. PLMBL the eggs and hot dogs was boaky
Just had an evening chilling. DW and WM have been on but I haven't emptied either. I will do more washing though as I can hopefully get it line dried tomorrow. The rotten weather is just depressing.
Hope everyone is okay. I am dug in for the summer now that Big Bro has started. They're a motley crew mind you, but I say that every year and will no doubt be addicted within the week5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Lol Ali I reckon I'll be needing it. I've prepped the soup and it was too much for my soup pot so I have had to transfer it to my slow cooker. It is now on and hopefully ready by lunchtime. I have never ever seen anything as gross as those green lentils comong out of that tin. They just looked like mud. Here is a pic so you can see said soup in its raw state
Apparently to be sunny here later. Very overcast just now but I have 3 loads of washing done and I am going to put them out anyway.
I noticed the other night that DD's car has a baldy tyre so she has asked me to take it to the garage for her and get a new one. She has put £25 in my account to pay for it. She's a laugh that one :rotfl:. I need to start charging interest on what she borrows from me. I did say to her though to get it done ASAP as she now has quite a long drive over a remote road to get to her 2nd job.
A busy wee day ahead of me. I have tidied round but am going to polish, hoover and steam mop. Washing to go out. Garage to go to. Go and read a friends tarot cards. Cook soup and dinner for DS and I as DD having one of the cottage pies. So I better crack on xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

How scary MIT - them thinking maybe blood clot or something awful - don't feel bad at least they checked all avenues. Take it easy - doesn't sound like you are with the day you have planned!
Soup looks colourful - not sure I would like to see it blended lol0
