My DS1 can be a horrible little toad and also plays the "why should I?" card. At just 9 years old though, I can get away with "because I bl00dy well said so!!".

lol re DS. I still get away with that as well tbh and I need to keep reminding myself he's almost a man and is allowed an opinion and is only asserting himself but he still does my head in :rotfl:

Forgot to say I was £15 in ASDA yesterday. Need to take stock and see if I can get to end of month now with minimum spends as I JUST have enough to get through. Doubt I'll be overpaying this month yet again !!

Brilliant news about CSA...keeping everything crossed (legs as a matter of course these days :rotfl:) it comes good.

Ooh love meatballs and so does DS - he'd happily have swapped as after slaving over roast duck and trimmings tonight, he declared 'he wasn't that bovvered about having a roast'. Grr...teens, eh!

Followed by an 8.30pm bombshell of needing to have photos of him making something - a meal or a dish - for one of his subjects. Leisurely adding, by tomorrow :eek: So I've (ahem, DS sort of ) have made a batch of double choc chunk muffins. Oh my, have only had one as they are huge and rather rich. They should last a day or two, maybe :rotfl:

I don't know how to load pics or I would . I'm dead proud of me muffins

use photobucket to upload. Took me ages to figure it out but once the pic is on there you copy the http address from the second option down next to the pic and then insert image on here and voila!!

My DS quite often shouts downstairs about this time that he needs a shirt for the next day :mad: I have started making him wear dirty ones as I refuse to run about at midnight hanging up washing. Teens grrrr

Drum Roll moment ....................my ever so clever girl is going to Uni. She got an unconditional offer tonight for the uni she wants and she is going to be a primary school teacher :j:j:j:j

The two of us were sitting in the slimming club listening to the wee talk when the e-mail came in and she burst into tears, I burst into tears, the class all looked at us and I just announced it to them all and they were all cheering and clapping. What a red letter day. Fantastic news. Just need to get DS into college now and we're sorted.

I am not even going to panic as to how I will support them for the next 4 years as it will happen somehow and we will get there . I am one determined Mother and I will make it happen.

Oh and I lost another 3lb into the bargain so that is 10lb in 2 weeks. Only 10 weigh ins before my holiday so need to keep going as I really really need 3 stones off to get into my clothes :rotfl:. so 32lbs in 10 weeks :eek::eek::eek:. I'll do my best.

NSD otherwise so a great day all round :T

Slight breakthrough with DS in the face cleaning department DS meeting a flannel is pretty much unheard of, but he's agreed to use some wipes especially for spots if I get him some. A cost, but I don't think he likes me calling him whitehead anymore :rotfl: My tactics are working :D

Thanks Ali. The excitement in our house tonight is hitting the roof .

My DS used to be the same. Now he showers daily ( sometimes twice :eek:) without me having to say a word. He has even started to clean his room at times without a screaming match. This is a boy who could shower without getting wet in times past :rotfl:
